Alls good again today. Its helped by rewicking my KFL using the cotton wool method. Lots of flavour and vaper.

Ive just been playing with micro coils.
12 wraps of .2 kanthal around a 1.6mm drill giving 2.8 ohm and cotton wool runing at 7.5w.
All i can say is WOW

I was reading some thing earlier about that and thought. Mmmm that sounds nice. Ive got some walnut, hazelnut and caramel flavouring in the post to try and make the Rytual a little more nutty. |

Ye ive decided it is the taste more than any thing else. I love the RY4 taste. Once i got the nic strength sorted i didnt fancy a smoke too much and thinking back to the other day i lost the taste then too. Ive just made up a new batch of juice and added a little extra flavour. And if the flavour goes again try a batch of non flavour just to clean your mouth out. I too have struggled terribly with the taste issue so know how you feel. Keep us informed on how it's going as we are all rooting for you. Will do and ill bear the no flavour in mind. |

Day 4 And ive cracked  all day today ive been chain vaping like a train on steroids. Around 5 ish i started getting chest pains and palpitations so put down the vape and bought 10 stinkies. I dont think the chain vaping was down to needing nic but more needing the taste. I tried putting the cobra on with the tuttie fruiti but still got no taste. Just hope tomorrow brings a better taste. I think you're right I am convinced the taste and sensation in the mouth sends the physiologically message to the brain that all is well. It's not easy for everyone (I found switching a struggle) and you will get there. I could be wrong but tuttie fruiti is not yet a taste your brain maybe assosiates with having a cig, that all is well feeling. I have been doing a lot of reading today and over the pond a lot of new vapers vape unflavoured e liquid at first, to get used to the switch, then start to add flavours. Might not be something you want to try but just thought I'd share in case it helps. Don't beat yourself up and count the cigs you haven't smoked in the last few days. I hope youve got your taste back. Ive got some mint ( garden type more than menthol) and every time i use it my Rytual tastes a lot better

I think if i get the urge again ill just walk past some one with a stinky. I went past some one today and christ it stank.
Think i might have to invest in another KFL so i can keep the higher strength with me. The Cobra is a good vape but tends to get messy unless its kept upright.

Daft question, but are you on the nicotine strength that is right for your craving? This may help. I smoked for 42 years and enjoyed smoking, but I didn`t want all the bad chemicals that went with the fags. I still class myself as a smoker, but just a more healthier smoker with e-cigs. As Perpetua has said "it doesn`t happen overnight". So a fag now again won`t hurt. The mind is very powerful so keep saying to yourself I don`t want to smoke fags I want to smoke using e-cigs and you will achieve your goal. You definitely want to give up fags otherwise you wouldn`t have joined this excellent site. Therefore, you are most definitely going in the right direction. Be strong and you will succeed. Griff . I think ive finally got the nic strenght about right. I mix my own and was making it around 24 but due to getting nic high all the time due to chain vaping my usuall vape is around 12. Hopefully the premix 24 in the cobra will kill the odd urge. Like you say im still a smoker just using a different brand  |

I think it's an individual thing. The wife and I gave it up and went cold Turkey but never gave in to the cravings. I was and still am very proud of her. It is no easy thing to do, but on the bright side it is easier than being an alcoholic trying to go straight. Some things are worse, that's what I kept telling myself in moments of weakness. Jag. (Never again ....) The reason im giving it a big push is i converted my dad a year ago. It took nearly a year but ive now converted my mum who has had a recent cancer scaire. Im always telling her its the way ahead but feel a tw@ for still using cigs. I dont go through often due to distance and milage but itl be nice to share juices when i go to see them. |

I was going to suggest a higher nic juice, but it looks like you worked it out already. I often suspect people shy away from the higher nic levels partly due to the anti Smoking propaganda centered around the notions of evil nicotine. If you over do The nicotine level then the worst you can get is just the same as you get from Chain smoking, ie you stop for a bit until your blood levels drop down again. On the other hand the risks from too low level is that you send yourself back to Analogues. Go high, stay off the stinkies! I here what you say. In testing the nic in the genni my heart started pounding a bit. Put it down for a while and picked up the KFL. alls well again |
