And it gets worse. Just watched a youtube review by Dirk Oburhaus. He dismantled it. 3x 1500 mah poly cells = 4500 mah. Being sold as 5000 mah.
15 mins into review. Its an out and out lie. Rounding up/down to the nearest 100 is common but rounding to the nearest 1000 is wrong. There must be a law about this. Perhaps trading standards will be interested?

Well, won't be buying any YiHi products. Won't be buying anything from Vapour-Room. You should have never been asked to contact Yihi with this problem. Looks to me like VapourRoom were trying to skip there legal duty. Poor Poor service in contradiction to most other post.

Its taken me a while, but know realise that they must have made a typo in their final statment "In short, it’s a feature of the way they work" Should have read In short, it’s a F--k up in the way they work

Refund pending.
After testing this is the reply.
We received your eVic VT in the offices and this has been tested now by our engineer which has given me the following result:
The temperature control seems very good to me, but it might be a question of having got used to lower powered VT devices that take a long time to reach temperature. Turning down the initial start power is a good idea for customers that find the initially fast rise a bit too savage.
In Power (wattage) mode, the first time the button is pressed after turning the device on, or fitting a new coil, the eVic VT runs through an atomizer test sequence that applies 25-40W initial power for a very short period (0.75 to 1.5 seconds depending on atomizer resistance). This test establishes whether the fitted atomizer is VT capable or not, and is performed once only after a new atomizer is fitted or the device is powered up. For all subsequent button presses the device goes straight to the correct voltage. We have tried to burn out a number of different coil designs by repeatedly removing and refitting atomizers to an eVic VT, and although there is the odd crackle as the atomizer quickly warms up, we have not managed to cause any burning of coils or wicks in any atomizer we have tried.
In short, it’s a feature of the way they work.
So in power mode with a 1.4 ohm coil the device will at first fire the atty at upto 40W or 7.48 volts for upto 1.5 seconds and they think this won't burn the cotton. In a Rose v2 i.m pushing my luck at 15 Watts. The more I read their statement the more unbelievable it is, and to top it off its a Feature.

All joking aside. All these ultra absorbent Female products, babies nappies etc may actually make bloody good wicks. They will all be sterile and I would suspect no bleach from the female products.

Received yesterday. Disappointing device. Attached a Rose with standard kanthel 1.4 ohm build to it. Set device to power mode and 10 Watts. All looked good until. First hit was more like 30w +. Further hits during that session were fine. Made a cuppa tea. Another vape me thinks. Pick up evic and the same thing happens. What a pile of shit I think.
Know time to try TC mode know the atty has had time to soak. Temp control appears to work fine, but changing the the wattage from 40 to 39 had a massive affect. At 40w plus the vape was ok but at 39w or less no vaper is produced.
I think to my self. O well its an Evic just like the Evic's before it will be firmware upgradeable, after all it was one of the key features of the previous 2. Well it's not. I paid 67.99 using a discount code (planet). As it stands its worth £6. I can see mine going back for a refund. Just rebuilt a marquis at 0.85ohms to further try power mode. Checked all was well on a sx350 box mode and a Evic Supreme. Fired @ 12 watts (3.19 Volts). All was good.
Set up Evic-VT as per manual. Fired the device and it almost took my head off. It took quite a few presses of the fire button before the output dropped to the expected level. Unfortunately my inline voltage meter doesn't work on the VT so can see what voltage it out puts but is perfectly clear it's not working as it should.
There is clearly a software issue with the VT in power mode, which may well be affecting Temp mode. This is the first Joyetech device that I have had that I am let down by. Going to email Joyetech UK and send this back. It doesn't work as advertised and could be dangerous.
Just reset device again and used a multi meter on to measure the power to the a atty.. 6.85 volts which decreases with each press of the fire button until the correct voltage is reached. (multi meter recored 3.22 volts).
Not sure if this is a software issue or a device fault.
Build quality. Nice paint job. Tap the outer case with your finger nail and I can't help but think "Bake bean can with go faster stripes". I think the Youtube reviewers have been dazzled by the paint job. The Egrip is a great deal better.
Emailed Joyetech to send it back. MY advice, save your money.
