My son has been vaping for 9 months and does not feel it necessary to carry any spares. This morning he arrived at work, took out his Kayfun and inhaled only to find his wick burnt and in 2 halves. With a 10 hour shift ahead he asked his colleague to look in the first aid box for cotton wool, needless to say there wasn't any but there was a bandage. He cut up the bandage and made a wick out of it, used the liquid he had managed to rescue and vaped away. He got his nic hit but with the taste of surgical spirit and disinfectant. I think he might be convinced to carry spares in future !!!!

I'd rather smoke a fag than that.

He could have rinsed the bandage out first and patted it dry! I've actually got some small packs of surgical gauze, that were all the go a few years back for wicks . . . along with some Butter Muslin. Cotton material - just in another form.

All joking aside. All these ultra absorbent Female products, babies nappies etc may actually make bloody good wicks. They will all be sterile and I would suspect no bleach from the female products.
