Thanks for the very kind support everybody. Did get some strange looks when I skyped my mother last night, and she wanted to know "what the hell I was sucking!" I explained and I think her interest was piqued a little, so may order another for when she comes over, if she doesn't get on with it, it'll be a back up/one for swmbo.

OK, so its been just over 24 hours since my last stinkie even though I had a lot to drink last night, and the Mrs was smoking, and losing the Tyne/wear derby. Getting much better flavour today because of the steep. Placed an order with t-juice for a selection pack of tasters in 8mg nic. I like the idea of 16mg during work and then the lower for evening heavier vaping. Am off to the club to play darts, and for a hair of the dog, but the baccy is staying at home. Even though the club allows vaping, I will still probably go outside, if only to show off my new toy. Might have a shop around whilst out and about tomorrow for some more juice!

From the POV of a newbie, I ordered from an Asian site, as it may be a cheap entry level way into vaping, I see this with a lot of reefkeeping gear. The Germans and Brits produced a lot of the main tech that was used. In the last 3 or so years, the Chinese have initially badly copied the tech, but have since improved and reduced the price of it. This has now started to question hobbiests into thinking they can get equivalent or better gear for much cheaper. I would have never considered giving vaping a go if I would have had to fork out around £100 for what I can get from Asia for half that. That's entry level, who knows what I'll spend on vaping gear in the future, and I'll probably go for the real thing.

FYI I'm currently vaping easy premium eliquid juices ATM. Someone posted a link on here a few weeks back and I ordered a load of 10ml samples.

Thanks for the support guys, since dialing back, and gradually increasing when the need / craving takes me, the palpitations have reduced. Yeah, I'm getting the feeling that my body is purging all the crap out of my lungs, to make way for vape. Gone through about 3ml of juice, but, considering I'm having a few beers, I still don't feel the need for a stinkie. In fact I rolled a few for the Mrs at the start of the night, and they smell foul.

Am I right in my assumptions about the 16 and 24mg strengths? Mrs is having stinkieswith her weekend Bacardi and coke, I'm on lemon and coconut in separate clearos. Still not had a fag since starting, and am missing them a little bit, but am determined. Am coughing up a bit, but I'm assuming this is due to adapting, plus I've had a bit of a cold recently. Do get the odd palpitation, but am thinking this is also due to the high nic levels, so have gone down to 3.3volts and throttled back on my tokes.

Well it finally arrived today, after ordering on the 26th of September, from fasttech. I got an mvp, 2 spare I clear 30 tanks and 3 of the tobacco flavour juices. First of all the tracking never updated and for weeks whenever I checked on the singpost website it stated that my package could not be found, then Thursday it finally found it and said that it had arrived in the uk. I don't blame FT for this, it's obviously issues with HK post office.
OK first impressions. Made 2 rookie mistakes, firstly all the juices I ordered are either 16, or 24 mg nic. Which means they obviously are too strong, wish I'd ordered some 8mg or lower so I could up the voltage and get more flavour with less throat hit, but that's a job for this evening. I also drained the tank of the tobacco juice to try ice cream without rinsing and the resulting cocktail tastes nothing like. Oh well, lesson learned.
I've been vaping for the last couple of hours almost non stop, and loving it. Voltage set at 3.8 and getting a very satisfying smoke-a-like. The Mrs isn't so convinced, but then she only smokes stinkies to be sociable with me on a weekend. I do think I will find it a suitable replacement for smoking and will provide me with a crutch whilst withdrawing from stinkies. The benefits are obvious from a health point of view, but also I can have a good toke and not leave a smelly haze in the living room, and saves me having to go into the kitchen for a fag. Looking forward to some nice juice recommendations, have tried fruit punch, which I find a little head ache inducing, but that maybe the strength of 24mg. Also vaping lemon which is nice.
All in all loving it.

I also did white choc and pistachio, and white choc and cherry, but everyone preferred the bacon. Like gammon and pineapple, or honey glazed ham, the salt and sweet complement each other. Try salted caramel popcorn or salted honey roast peanuts or sprinkle sea salt on treacle tart. Lush!

Thanks djs. Once I've got my head around everything and stated vaping, and my taste buds have recovered from the years of stinkies, I might have a go at making my own juice, I like making my own fudge and sweets for present for Xmas, for friends etc. Last years bacon fudge went down a treat!

I have this feeling I'm gonna have to order one for the wife in a few weeks, she's a weekend smoker, able to stop at will, but likes a smoke on a weekend with a drink and a DVD. Wouldn't mind recommendations for a juice that would compliment a nice cold lager, I'm thinking citrus? Hi and welcome:) lemon and lime with lager , red Astaire with red wine , chocolate limes with coffee and menthol with tea !! Don't get that variety with a Samson rollie happy vaping Thanks for that, thinking lemon or lime might go well with the wife's Bacardi and coke as well.

The MVP isn't a bad start at all, and many think it's a good piece of kit, but there are lots of variables regarding throat hit and it's not just about power, as I'm sure you'll find out over a bit of time. I smoked 40+ a day for 35 years so know what professional smokers probably think they need, but it might not be the case that you'll actually need a big throat hit once you find the right juice and the right atomiser, every ones habit is different, but you'll find your level soon enough, whereabouts are you by the way?.
