To be fair with version 0005 it is working. and as long as you let it cool down between vapes. its fine. the problem with it now is that every time you press the fire button it re reads the coil. So if the coil is already hot the next vape is hotter. but there is no reason they can't fix it with a update lol

but with the upgrade it is working just not very well. its monitoring resistance exactly the same as the evolve. just not storing the base line resistance. as the resistance goes up the wattage goes down same as the evolve.

have you seen the P Brasado review of the DNA 40? It docent really work either. the fact is we will probably never get a accurate temp control device as there is so many variables. so does that mean all dna 40 devices should be sent back for refund? at the end of the day kind of doing it is not doing it.it either accurately measures temp or it doesn't. Im not saying that smok is right in what they have done but everyone is comparing it to a device that doesn't really work And i don't believe smok were trying to rip people off. more a case of getting the concept wrong.

Robby there 100's of british products that clime to do something and only kind of do it. it has nothing to do with were they are made. Just name one mod that has never had any teething problems. at the end of the day evolve still hasn't got it right.

I really think people are being a bit too critical and forgetting the price of this device. If it was £150 i could understand the bashing. If it was just VW it is still a bargain. i have 2 evolve dna 40's and they both play up. one keeps killing batteries when left unused. and the other doesn't always recognise the nickel. given a bit more time i think they will sort it.

Just tried the update and seems to work much better. cured the ramp up time and is holding temp not shutting off when temp is reached.the only problem is its not remembering the resistance of the coil. if you don't chain vape its fine. but then it should be easy to fix with the software.

Sounds like its killed the battery. i changed the battery in one last week that did the same. when i tested the battery it only had 0.35v and wouldn't recharge so changed it and is now fine.

I still think the m80 plus is a good little 80w mod for the money. The temp control is a bit of a fail but as a 80w mod its fine.I'm just hoping the sx350j is going to work iv already got one on pre order.
