Thanks everyone, it's a nice feeling to be made so welcome. Jag has been telling me what a great forum this is and encouraging me to join. I do listen to him......sometimes.

Jaguar7777OMG well now your going to have to behave yourself...No more more secret shiny purchases for you my son. Secret? Ha! He parades ALL his new purchases around and indeed has me with one in each hand testing them out and oooohing and ahhhhing all over them! AND.....procured one of my makeup cases which he is now using as a stand for his Mods. But hey....I'm easily amused.

Hi all, first and foremost let me say congratulations to all of you who have kicked the habit. I know personally that it's the most difficult thing I've ever accomplished. I smoked for thirty some odd years, and I liked it, a lot. I never really saw myself giving it up to be honest. Then last November I developed a nasty chest infection, a really bad one. I couldn't smoke, could barely breathe or even walk. My OH also was severely ill with it, to an even greater extent. So last December, the cigarettes were bid farewell. Went on the patches and the inhaler. It took a lot of willpower! But it was so hard. There were times when I think I would have fallen to my knees and begged a stranger on the street for a cigarette! Then one day I purchased Nicolites and life seemed a bit brighter. My OH went online after that and made a smart decision to invest in some new electronic alternatives and voila.......there was no looking back. The benefits are sublime. No odor, no messy ashtrays. And the health benefits! That nagging cough is history. Nothing is ever going to taste like a real cigarette in my opinion, but I can honestly live with this. In fact, in many ways I like this even better. My current flavor of choice is usa mix. But I'm also partial to a bit of black cherry now and again. I do go on, don't I. Thanks for this informative and supportive forum.
