So precious. I love dogs. I miss having ones that I can cuddle on my lap. Our border collie hates it when I try to make him be my baby and sit on my lap.......plus it looks ridiculous as he weighs about 75 lbs. (yes, he's fat and pretty) Never owned many cats, the one I actually did thought he owned me. I always thought the difference in dogs and cats was like day and night, but your bunch seem to be one happy family. Nice.

I once had a cardioligist tell me that one could eat all the 'bad' foods they wanted and that still would not be as detrimental to their health as smoking is. I wasn't ready to hear that at the time. I liked, even loved my cigarettes and couldn't ever see the day I would give them up. Yes, even after a heart problem. When my OH and I both were extremely ill last year around this time with severe chest infections, the Dr. came out to see us both. I was too ill to smoke, could barely breathe or even walk. She left saying that my OH was probably already too damaged from years of smoking for it to really help if he quit. I was livid! We both quit, and today are quite healthy, thank you. Needless to say, we have a different Dr. But the truth is, I don't need a Dr. to tell me that I'm healthier now. I know I am. I can feel it and see it everyday. They don't know everything, that's the truth. Reverse psychology works very well Agreed it can work very well sometimes womble. But this was one time that was not the case. This particular Dr. had not done blood work, a chest x-ray or anything really except look at my OH and talk to him. And had practically already diagnoised him with having lung cancer! As I walked this Dr. to the door, I said "Will quitting smoking help"? And I was told that no, it was probably already too late for that. This Dr.was already discussing treatments and oxygen for him! I was devastated at the time.

(Only 21 really .......) 'Cuse me Mr. Kink. But under your name it says 'Senior'. Wasn't me who told them your real age...honest! Why oh why does my post keep going onto another quoted post? Either I can blame my android device for this or I'm just doing something WRONG. ???

I adore winter. I think that having lived in the southern U.S. most of my life where it was so hot in spring and summer has something to do with it. Also there's always the possibility of snow here in Scotland and I love snow! I even like the fact that it's dark more. I've not gotton used to the summer months here where it's light practically all night, even after 13 years. Things I like most...that warm cozy feeling from the fireplace. Making homemade soup and chili. Feeding the birds and filling their baths up outside with hot steaming water (watching them bath is a joy) Decorating for Christmas (way ahead of time usually, but I love it) Coming in from shopping all chilled and warming up with a hot cup of tea. Cuddling up with OH under a blanket and watching a good film or several. Reading a good book under a duvet while the wind's whistling around the windows. Wearing my warm over the knee socks and long warm jumpers. Watching our collie playing in the snow.....priceless!

"Monkey Jizz gives you ..............." Damn, due to good taste I can't actually finish off that little phrase. Shame, what I had in mind was wickedly funny. Answers on a postcard ............. Jag. (Put it in the fridge and leave it there. I'm not monkeying about with that stuff ................) You , Good taste? Who are you kidding? Mmmmmmmmmmmm on second thoughts, yes perhaps you do have a degree of taste, your selection of gear, your choice of forum And finally, your choice of such an outstanding, beautifull, understanding Lady for your good wife. ((Ain't I just such a smooth customer) Why thank you Charon. And yes, you're a smooth operator. * passes Charon £20 behind back*

Epilator's are brilliant anna, they save all that mucking about with razors and weaken hair growth the more you use them. I probably do my legs once every 3 weeks now. Possibly TMI for the gents on the thread. Thanks Perpetua, I'll look into that. As for the male folk.....this review is priceless on Men's hair remover. Look at the post entitled 'Oh the Shame.' Though everyone's probably seen it already. Warning: it is adult language and some may find it crude. I found it hilarious. www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B000KKNQBKI kind of know how he feels...I've tried lotion hair removers, and waxing. Never again.

I've never understood females who stopped shaving their legs in the winter months. (If you never shaved before, that's different) I shave my legs everyday as I'm bathing. The alternative is just ........unacceptable to be honest! I mean it's just one of those things that once you start doing it, you just have to continue. I could give other examples but this isn't THAT type of forum. Me too anna, the thought of having hairy legs is just....eeeewwwww!! . I used to be a dancer on a cruise ship so it just wasnt the done thing to have any body hair showing! I worked with a woman once who never shaved her legs ever. She wore tights and the hairs used to stick out through the tights. She also never shaved her under-arms and wore vest tops in the summer, Wouldnt have been so bad if she was blond but she had really dark hairs She was a hairdresser too so her poor clients couldnt help but see it in the mirror and I had visions of her accidentally cutting off her own armpit hair and it falling on the clients...omg yuck. Gotcha and totally agree. I recall a teacher I had in school who had never shaved her legs or underarms also. She would have all this dark hair on her legs showing through her stockings. I never quite understood it, why, why?? Her daughter who was a couple of years ahead of me in school was the same way. I'll never forget the day she was trying out for cheerleading. When she turned that cartwheel, both legs in the air. Lets just say it's one memory I wish I could eradicate.

I think the main question is, is do we trust the people in charge to do the best job they can in the circumstances? On the whole, I do, because believing otherwise is too scary to think about. Unfortunately... I don't. Apart from Obama, who I do trust, but not the American system of government, as displayed in the recent financial chaos. It's time for someone to 'take the stage' because all the rest are just 'jobbing'! Honestly? I felt as though America had taken on a new lease in life when Mr. Obama was elected his first term. After the 'Bush' years, it was like opening a window and letting in fresh air. He had an almost insurmountable task ahead of him trying to establish some credibility for The United States. I was so proud of him and in fact quite moved at times when he would speak. But like all politicians, no matter how 'pure' there intentions at the beginning, they all end up dirtying their hands in some way or another. I'm American, born and bred. But I've now been out of that country for over 13 years. And my perspective has changed greatly since living here in the UK. Truth is, sometimes you can't see the woods for the trees. It seemed so big when I lived there, now it doesn't seem so overpowering. Yes, I know it's still a powerful country, but the flaws are beginning to reveal themselves more than ever. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. This latest revelation doesn't really come as a shock to anyone, does it? It's what bullies do. They try and tell the rest of the world what they can and cannot have, what they will and will not do. We've all gotton used to it, but that doesn't mean it's right.

OK what's the secret to training the little lady having such a harmonious matrimonial state ? Secret? There is no secret, just three rules that might come in handy. 1: It's a good idea to be friends. 2: Don't say "I Love You" unless you really mean it. 3: Know how to say you are sorry, and learn how to forgive. Those three can come in handy, when used wisely. Jag. (I didn't Marry her because I had to ..... Jeeze ........ )
