Blimey! And I thought I went mad last night ordering 30ml concentrate of RA, nic base, pg, and one of those plastic cosmetic storage thingys from eBay. Though I did peek at the bank balance before pressing the buy button..and then pressed it anyway..

tmg hahahahaha Did you try & swat the vapour away too? Oh yes I tried a couple of discrete wafts until I realised I was drawing attention to myself, I don't know if vaping is banned in our local Asda, I should imagine it is, my daughter works there which made it all the more embarrassing for her, I've never been dragged round a supermarket so fast...

I still feel self conscious vaping in the street. However one day out shopping with my daughter we were chatting away and I accidentally walked in to Asda still vaping, no one batted an eyelid. I suddenly realised what I was doing and tried to hold my breath until the vapour dissipated, probably looked good on the CCTV, 'woman going purple in aisle 3'

Continuing the standing outside for a fag subject, I used to smoke in the utility in the winter which is nowt more than a brick built lean to outside the back door, when both myself and my then partner went out there we often didn't bother closing the back door behind us unless there was someone in the kitchen, consequently we were heating the local neighbourhood. Since ditching the partner and starting vaping last July I haven't had the back door open more than necessary, there has been a significant reduction in my energy bills, now I know we've had a milder winter but my payments have dropped £20 a month. I'm convinced this is partly due to not repeatedly having that door open

If you're still suffering the closing throat sensation then drink loads of water and take an anti histamine such as a hay fever tablet, that should relieve the symptoms but sadly won't help the cause

Brilliant advice as always, shows what a paranoid first time mixer I am, not sure what I expected would happen if I got my ratios a bit off, probably thought the bottle would melt lol. Anyway, another lesson learned, what us rookies would do without this forum I dread to think..

Thanks for the replies, I think I will in future use a syringe for the larger amounts, saves having to count out 180 drops! I know it's trial and error and personal taste, I just didn't think about the possibility of different bottle tops being different sizes...doh!

I've just started dabbling in the world of mixing, I made up a 5ml trial of red Astaire at 20% and left it for a week. It tasted ok so I decided to mix 30ml. Now according to the calculator I should use 6ml or 180 drops of concentrate. I decided to do it by drops rather than try to get the drip top out of the bottle, after I'd counted out my 180 drops I noticed that I didn't seem to have used as much of the concentrate as I should have done, out of a 10ml bottle I should have less than half left, however I still had more than half in the bottle. I'm sure I counted correctly, so I'm wondering are the drops out of a t juice bottle smaller than ordinary dropper bottles? Have I made a rookie mistake and should have made sure I used the same size drip tops for all liquids or measured it out in mls by syringe? My trial 5mls does taste slightly weak but I didn't think much of it, just figured I wouldn't achieve the exact same taste as pre-mixed. Either way I shall give it a week and chuck a few more drops in if it doesn't taste right, I just wondered if I'd made a basic error.

My parents used to live in Africa, I spent holidays with them but one of the reasons I didn't stay for too long was the bugs...sticky Christmas bugs that glue themselves to you, huge swarms of flying ants, and massive, virtually unkillable flying cockroaches. Not to mention moths the size of pidgeons and fire ants that spray acid. How my mother put up with it for 20 years I'll never know, she hated bugs as much as I do, I could only visit at certain times of the year when the bug population was at its lowest in the dry season, when the rains started so did the creepy crawlies. Oh and my favourite was the fly that lays eggs on your washing and if it's not ironed properly the larvae burrow into your skin and live off you, I can't remember the name of it, but guess who had 3 of the little buggers in my back when I stayed with friends. The treatment was to Sellotape over the holes until the larva came up for air and then rip the little sucker out, making sure not to snap it in the process...lovely..

Ohhh, just thinking about hairy bodied moths makes my toes curl, I hate them, I've stopped parking my car under the streetlight outside in the summer for that very reason, having to run the gauntlet of great big stupid flapping things was creating huge entertainment for my neighbours and kids when I screamed and hurtled my way into the house as something sailed past my ear, but it was doing nowt for my blood pressure. Wasps I also detest but I automatically assume the 'stand as stiff as a plank' position in the hope they'll get bored and go away. I often wondered why I could hear something having a meal out of my garden fence..now I know why, that really isn't going to help my phobia much. I'm really looking forward to summer....

Well, just shows how rubbish my imagination is...I saw Chrissy as dark haired and perp and pep as fair haired. Pep looks very much like a good friend of mine who is equally bubbly.

Ok...1. If I had a vaping emergency I'd definitely grab a cigalike to tide me over, I do have a few NHS inhalator thingys left which I have in the car, at work etc, I've had to resort to them once and managed to survive. I'm not sure what their use by date is though, I must have had them 2 years +.
2. I've never peed in a bush, I can go under pressure, I'd be there for a week. There was a story in the local paper this week about a woman caught short on a girls night out, so she staggered off to find somewhere to pee and fell into some roman excavations, she tried to sue the council but they claimed she was too trollied to see where she was going and she lost

rednutt I'm afraid I'm a cautious bunny (aka boring). I admire people who can jump in head first. I will attempt some proper mixing at some point, I like the sound of the vanilla custard recipe. I mix flavours in the clearo quite often, although again it tends to be only similar ones like caramel, toffee and vanilla. I like red Astaire with rasberry ( sacrilege I know!) that started accidentally after I chucked the wrong bottle in my work bag. I hope your new mixes go ok.

My first itaste vv3 did exactly the same after 2 minutes of use, the iclear 16 was fine on another battery. Ended up returning it to the vendor, not had another one do it since...so far
