Just got off the phone to DIL and she will get me 50 metres tomorrow. I misheard her when she told me the price off the top off her head. Apparently it's 5p a metre not 25p. Let's hope the top of her head is right. This vaping just gets more & more expensive

I was going to order some of this rico stuff, theres another thread somewhere where I asked about it. Does it work for threading through a microcoil of a protank? Do you double it, twist it? I'm a bit confused with it really but just thought it must be easiler than cotton wool. sammy13 & ronaldo I can send you some of each if you like. I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to the tech stuff but I think the coils I use are 2mm. They are the Nature Vape ones and when I had a Protank 3 they fitted. The 5mm stuff I just cut a length off, make a diagonal cut at one end so it's thinner to twirl one end before pushing through the coil. Then pull it through until I feel resistance and trim. I haven't noticed any difference in flavour or vapour to cotton wool.

That's what I got at first and found it was not thick enough. Still got 64.9 metres of it which I'll give to someone who wants it at Vapefest. Would like a couple metres to experiment with please smifee, I'll be camping all weekend. I was planning to have a sort-out and bring the stuff I wont be using. VapingBad I'm sending Mrsmac some of both and if you PM me I'll send the same to you. If enough people want samples I won't have any of the Rico 4mm left by Vapefest.

ruffdog you are the man I've been checking every liquid company that comes up to try to find one near me. They are only 5 miles away. I've just got off the phone to them and am impressed by their attitude to customer service and flexibility. They will do 1 litre of 72mg nic in PG or VG for me to collect. I have to email them and they'll give me a price. I'm prepared to pay a bit more for the convenience of being able to collect. Will visit in a few days when I've got my list of flavours ready.

How does yarn compare to cotton balls? I've changed to cotton yarn/tape about a week ago. Got a ball of 65 metres for £1 from Hobbycraft. It was reduced end of line I think. Found it to be a bit too narrow for the Nature Vape coils. Measured it and it was about 4mm wide. As I pulled it through the coil there wasn't enough resistance and I had leaking problems. I doubled it over and the leaks stopped but it was too thick and hard to get into the coil. My daughter in law works for a fabric company and got me a sample length of 5mm. It's just right and I've rewicked all my coils with it. No problems so far. She's getting me 50 metres and I think it's something like 25p per metre. Mrsmac I can send you a sample of both to try. PM me if you want to try it.

Early days I know but I'm confused about the 3 models. The model compare table on the anyvape site appears to say none of them have a top cover SR007 doesn't have a removable drip tip or filler cover. So can it be filled from the top? The only difference between the other 2 seems to be the style of the top cover. I only use Nature Vape tanks but hate the bottom filling which I do with a syringe. I would like airflow control but my only experience of it was with Aerotank & Protank 3 and I kept getting the adjustment ring stuck. Guess we'll just have to wait for a reviewer to get hold of one.

I get mine from Classikool via Amazon. Both VG & PG and have had no problems with it. It's well packed and there's not much else to say about it.

I don't know. The tape is a mesh like weave. Would that make it more absorpent? Daughter in law's company stock 5mm white cotton tape and she's getting me a sample to try.

This I sounding very hopeful. Wasn't aware the NV head would fit a protank 2, so more choices there and would definitely get the aero bottom thingy. A mod? Well, will look and read, and as for an rba, have heard of them, read a little about them but need to do more serious reading on here to understand what they are and how they work. As for cotton, this sounds a daft question but makes sense to me cos I knit a little, smifee on the one you found does it say whether it is 4ply, Arran, double or whatever.....cos you can get dishcloth cotton from most yarn shops but it is probably too thick. Try looking on Texere Yarns web site? And yes, I'm quietly pleased that I didn't collapse back on the stinkies the last couple of days. It's always been stressful situations that got me before, but I think this time, well maybe, perhaps......... No nothing on the label. Another knitter asked me the same question on the other thread. I must learn how to link to other threads. Texere Yarns has Cotton Ribbon but says it's only 2mm wide.

That sounds like a good idea.....4mm cotton tape, is that ecig supplies or a n other? I do like the NV, it just seems to work and is easily cleaned, so......heading that way Someone recommended Rico Fashion Summer White Cotton from Hobbycraft. I couldn't find it on the Hobbycraft website so went to their shop. Wasn't on the shelves but found some in the clearance bin reduced to £2. At the checkout they said it was only £1. So 65 metres for a quid. Someone on the other thread said Rico have discontinued it. I found some places that still have it in stock. loveyarn.com/products/104686-137781-rico-fashion-summer-print.aspx www.knittingwoolandyarn.co.uk/p/2970/Rico-Fashion-Summer-Yarn www.twistandpurl.co.uk/Rico-Fashion-Summer-p1076/ However having done all my Nature Vape heads with it I think a 5mm tape would be better. There's not quite as much resistance when I pull the tape through as there is with the amount of cotton wool I was using. I'm also getting gurgling which I didn't get before. My daughter in law works in the fabric industry so I'll ask her to get a 5mm sample for me to try.

I always weep buckets when my dog dies and find the best thing is to get another dog soon. Puppies are much easier in the summer. How many dogs have you been through smifee? Do you get bored with em in the winter? I'm on my 5th. Training a puppy in the winter is a real faff particularly toilet training. I still haven't managed to get one of them to sit on the seat.
