Hi folks, this is just to put out the feelers and get an idea. Are there any vapers in fife? If so, would anyone be interested in a mini meet? I have no idea of location or venue, but thought I would see if this would interest anybody and would be worth organising? Lemme know if you'd be up for it.

Thanks everybody. Been doing my research and taking all of your reccommendations into account, it iTaste is definitely the winner - a fraction more expensive, easier to use, looks the part and is a semi pass through. Only disadvantage I see is that its only 800mah which is slightly less than either the kanger or vision, but greater still than the 650s I'm currently using. I'm considering, for the extra tenner, of getting the kit from myepack with the 5 iClears so I have a few spares. Seems a really good deal!! Thanks for all your suggestions.

I had thought of this when looking earlier. Newbie question, how does the VW affect the vape? VV seems pretty straightforward but what difference will it make being able to control both voltage and wattage?

Pretty self explanatory... Can anyone reccommend to me which of these would be a better buy? Also what are the advantages going to be? I am currently using a mix of iClear16s, Aspire BDCs and a Mini Protank on a couple of 650mah eGo batteries. I am managing to stay off the stinkies with no problems, and the 650s are fine for taking out and about but want something nice to vape with at home. Am I going to notice a big difference switching to an eGo type VV or am I better to just save the pennies and get a mod later down the line? Being able to spend anything more than £20 on a battery is probably not affordable for me anytime soon unless I save over a few months. I am on a tight budget so the Evod Twist looks most favourable for me at the minute, but I am open to suggestions

Did anything ever come of this? I am in fife and would be up for a meet depending on location as I can't drive (yet, but will be able to very soon). I don't know anyone else who vapes so would be good to meet a few from around the area.

So I dropped my battery last night and my button got stuck. From what I could find, this is a common problem for people, with many solutions. A lot of them are fiddly and time consuming and I would honestly suggest trying this way first. Many people seem to dismantle. The problem is usually the the outer button has turned a little and is not connecting with the button on the board. It's as easy as getting the button to turn as it has to be turned the right way for the button on the board to fit back on. I tried dismantling and in the end, I put the battery back together then I wrapped my front teeth gently around the button and twisted it. And voila, one turn and it clicked back in, worked right away too. Haven't seen this solution anywhere and would reccommend trying it first before attempting to take apart your batteries. Hope this is of use to someone!

Chrissie, thanks for pointing me here. Although due to having a small amount of clearos (6 atm) and being on a tight budget, I am thinking I'd be better trying one vendor at a time and getting bigger samples. And if I dont like any flavours then I can always sell or trade them for others unwanted juices. I dont have a dripper so sampling flavours then cleaning and changing coils etc would be time consuming, and all the while I need enough of any given liquid to keep me off the stinkies! Any vendors you can personally reccommend buying from?

Hi folks, wouldn't consider myself a newbie now as have a pretty good understanding of hardware and how it all works, fixing, cleaning and maintenance etc. However, I have only been vaping 3 weeks and so far have only tried a couple of flavours of liquid from darkstar and one from jj. I am looking to find as many respectable vendors as possible to try samples anywhere from 1-10ml to find a few flavours that I would really love to vape more often. I am trying to avoid any tobacco flavours, but will try anything fruity, sweet, minty, deserty, savoury etc. If anyone could point me in the direction of some good vendors I would appreciate it alot. So far only aware of Darkstar and joosejuice. Thanks again, Mikey.

Vv battery is two weeks old and it's had one charge through it bought it just prior to getting my Vtr as a standby but got extra batteries for mod instead. The ego c is 1100 mah. And although brand new the threads on the top rant the best so I would throw it in with the VV battery for 30ml of juice. What do you have ? Still unused, all at 24mg, I have - Darkstar Fresh Lime 10ml Darkstar Lemon Sorbet 10ml Darkstar Fruits of the Forest 10ml And open I have - Darkstar Arctic Menthol 8ml (2 used to test, nice vape) Darkstar Blackcurrant roughly 6ml left. The rest of my bottles have little left in them and probably not worth trading for. If the 3 unused are of use to you we can arrange the trade as soon as possible. Regards, Mikey.

I have some dark star liquids to trade. How much juice are you looking for the vv? Also how well used it it? And what size are the ego c batteries? Cheers, Mikey.

Thought it would be worth updating this. Reflecting upon my initial review a few things have changed. Firstly, my taste buds took some adjusting to this flavour. I have only stopped smoking for 2-3 weeks and I think my taste buds are still improving. A big shout out to darkstar, this is blackcurrant through and through, and the flavour of the vapour is quite true to that of the fruit. It's got a nice balance of the sweet and sour aspects and has, over a few days, become one of my go to vapes. Even with dual top coils, the hit is smooth and full feeling and leaves a pleasantly nice aftertaste. Also I think my iclear16 is hitting alot nicer now so probably gives a fairer picture of the juice as a whole. Just for reference, it's 70/30 pg/vg (all darkstar juice so far seem to be. IMO, if you like your fruit flavours then this is definitely a juice worth trying. This is just according to my own likes and tastes and I only thought it fair my review reflected that they have changed.

I am interested in the batteries namely the vv but may consider a couple others depending, pm me with the selection if you can. I don't have too much in the way of juice as haven't long started vaping but have a few tasties that might be up your street.
