Can you recommend a good dripper for a beginner why I'm ordering from fasttech as I'm looking to start mixing in a couple of month and I've read it's easier to try ur juice on a dripper |

So for recoiling protank 2 heads (and got a Kayfun on the way too)
Is a shopping list of
10m of .25 a1 kanthal
10m of .3 a1 kanthal
100% pure cotton pads(or jap cotton?)
Precision screwdriver set
Wire clippers
Got my istick or Itaste to check ohms
Got a coil jig from myepack ( bit tiny but)
Got a lighter or is it advisable to get a blowtorch?

I don't know which RBAs you've bought, but this is my standard advice: Have a read of this to start with: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/28652/beginners-guide-own-coils?page=1&scrollTo=518540Lots to absorb there. Then go to www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com and order your wire - for 2 ohm coils, I recommend you get A1 Kanthal at 0.25mm. It's cheap, so get yourself some 0.3mm as well, you will use it eventually I promise! For wick, get down the supermarket and buy a bag of 100% natural (unperfumed) cotton wool balls. It doesn't have to be organic, just make sure it's untreated. 100 balls will last you years, and costs a couple of quid at most. Now, back to Super-Shiny's guide for you - find the guide on microcoils, follow it, and make yourself a 2 ohm microcoil using 8-9 wraps around a 2mm drill bit. Wick with the cotton (keep reading that guide!) and enjoy the best vape you've ever had. As you get more confident, you may choose to build lower ohmed coils and use a mech mod. That's what the 0.3 is for, but save yourself the postage and get it all together. Good luck - not that you'll need it, follow the guide and you will be fine. Plus it's totally worth it, don't get frustrated, remember practice makes perfect so keep at it and enjoy the tinkering! Hi I'm interested in this but the link has no info there any idea as to why? |

Aaarrrgggghhhhhh Got issues with the istick its blown 2 protank coils 1st one was only about 3days old 2nd one got done in 1 toke Both on 2.5 ohms 10w so it automatically put volts at 4.8-5.0 Have you changed your iStick to the wattage setting c1booth, the volts then look after themselves. 3 presses/clicks of the squarey activation button and you're done . . . the iStick runs hotter than other devices, due to the internal gubbins of the thing. My current coil is 2.5ohms and I'm running that at 7.5 watts, which is more than adequate for my style of vaping. On the bright side, Protank heads are very straightforward to re-coil - so hang on to them, ready for when you want to have a go at recoiling.  Got it sorted now think half of the problem was 1 cheap head that got muddle up with kanger ones got it sorted with a proper kanger coil and lower wattage Great vape |

ok this is only my personal feeling and not really based on any provable fact. I have an iStick and a protank 3. The 510 pin on the protank is a bit too long for the iStick thread and has a habit of compressing the pin It's even worse if you have the airflow controller. For this reason I use the adaptor that came with it. (Actually I have a 510-510 that I use now) Ok Hot vape: I found the iStick so overpowered that it was burning juice at any power setting with my protank. My solution was to get a unicoil from Virtual Vape Once I had that it was ruddy good a different animal and I loves it to bits now. Hope this helps Would it not be better to recoil my own compared to that unicoil as I want to get into this anyway( got a kayfun v4 clone on the way) |

Yeah it's the same on my Itaste can you burn all the liquid in your tank or do you think it's just the coil needs cleaning If you have seriously cooked the coil then you will need to dump out the juice in the tank and clean it out as the coil will taint the juice still in the tank Thank you |

Have you tried the Protank on something else to see if your getting the same problem? You could change the coil out to see if the same thing happens, sorry can't be much help only had mine since the weekend. Yeah it's the same on my Itaste can you burn all the liquid in your tank or do you think it's just the coil needs cleaning |

I use the adapter with my protank 2 When I screw it into the body it's not a great fit and sometimes get no atty warning it also has to be screwed down quite hard. Using the adapter I have no problem and Get plenty flavor from about 4W onwards. I'm getting a really hot harsh vape at any level? |

Just took the adapter off and tried atty straight on unit and it's reading ohms ok now
My god this thing is temperamental
It's still a burnt hot taste though
Anyone know why or why is was faulting earlier?

I've got issues already with the istick
it blew my 2/3 day old protank 2 head immediately so put a new one in that lasted 1 toke
both were 2.5 ohms at 10watts 4.8-5.0volts I think
then when putting a new head in it the ohms was fluctuating when screwing atty on and settling on something under 1 ohms
If I unscrewed slightly so it shows over 1 and tried to toke it came up protected
if I try to toke when it was screwed in all way it would come up no atomiser
but my Itaste was showing this at 2.5ohms as it should be
the I stick does show correct ohms when connected through the adapter you get in the box but this shouldn't be required right?
also burnt taste and hot toke as low as 3.3v 4.5 watts
