You and me both poppet! I'm finding I have days where I just get stuck and I can't wrap my head around things, probably because I'm trying to take on too much info at once, but after a while it starts making more sense. I'm still playing about with my technique too. I seem to get most flavour when I hold the vapour in my mouth for a lil bit and kinda let it swirl around for a second lol Breathing it out through my nose is sometimes good too, although it sometimes makes me sneeze and sniffle a bit! The most surprising thing to me is how relaxed it makes me feel. I suffer with anxiety so I'm used to paying attention to my breathing. Those long slow draws on the ecigs and just letting the vapour kinda mill around really seems to calm me right down. It's lovely! Well I tried different inhaling techniques last night and everyone was right, it was much better and although I still went outside for one cigarette it was only one, which is an improvement. I normally start my day with a cuppa and cig before the house wakes up but not this morning - yay - so fingers crossed with all the information people have given me I'm on my way to ditching the smelly ones

I'm keeping my head down. I tried a myepack cartomizer with 100% VG (dekang vegas blend) and got my missus to try it (she doesn't vape very often). The difference is minimal according to her. I agree as well. Whatever is causing your trouble seems more likely to be either the flavour or how you inhale. The difference between PG and VG gets more noticeable in higher power equipment, I guess.. ??? We compared 24mg triple 5 (VG) with 18mg triple 5 (80% PG) and they seem to balance themselves out... To be honest, too much clutching at straws.... i.m.o. Cheers for that djs (and your missus), tonight I will be experimenting with different inhaling techniques fingers crossed it is just that. I suppose after 30 odd years of inhaling/smoking one way it might take a bit of time learning a new way.

Hello poppet I'm new too and learning all the stuff there is to get to grips with about vaping so you're not alone! The folks here are really great and very patient with us newbies and there's lots of threads and info about it all on these forums. Please don't worry about asking basic questions - chances are that you'll be asking something someone else needs to know the answer to aswell, but they're too shy to ask! *blush* All the best MissT Hi MissT - thanks for the welcome, I can't believe how kind people are being sharing their knowledge etc., with all the info I've acquired I feel much more confident about it all now

Hi poppet welcome from me, If you order anything from Joose Juice they make their juice to order, so bare in mind the liquid will need to be 'Steeped' (whole new story) for at least a week or so, I bought some juice from them 2 weeks ago, after 10 days steeping it tasted like wet cardboard still. Steeping is the process where the juice needs to 'fuse' together at a molecular level. Here's a forum post that may help My understanding of Steeping by ChillerVapes You also might want to get some eJuice from a local B & M (bricks & Mortar) vape shop if you have one near you as their juice will 9/10 be ready to vape with no steeping needed. Also, if you havn't checked it yet, check out the Pics/ Vids of how to get started +abbreviations section, helped me loads when I joined a few weeks ago along with E-cigarette/E-liquid Vendors List + discount codes if you decide to buy anything else online, some great discounts there too. I've bought loads of stuff from Myepack, seems the cheapest UK online retailer for vape equipment. Edit: LOL, beaten to it, ^^^^^ also what chykensa said Hi choobeydoo thanks for your info, I've just looked at the sections you mentioned and you're right, really good info etc. I hadn't realised about the steeping, this site is great especially for people like me who know absolutely nothing

poppet - just bear in mind that the JJ samples are mixed to order, so will need a week or so of 'steeping' to allow the flavours to develop. The only downside to a great vendor, but with so many flavours and PG/VG combinations with different nic levels, there's no way that Jim can keep supplies of them all pre-mixed. The tobacco and dessert flavours need most steeping, the mints and menthols are good to go straight away! Thanks for that Chykensa I hadn't realised. I can put any of the liquids in cartomizers for the e-cigs can't I?

I've just had a look at myepack website & I also can't see the PG/VG ratio. Maybe have a look at Joose Juice they do a good range of 10ml tester bottles with a good choice of PG/VG ratio. Thanks Chrissie, just had a look at Joose Juice and will try a few samples, will let you know how I get on.

poppet if you're after smoother vapes by going for 100% VG then do not, I repeat, DO NOT get the Chilli flavour from evape - it is EVIL and hits your throat like battery acid even though I got 24mg & 70%/30% PG/VG hahahahaha Thanks for the tip CaptainChaos will definitely stay away from the Chilli flavour

Hi - sorry probably a really stupid question but what is VG only juice and the PG/VG? This is all so new to me so apologies for all the questions, feel like the new girl at school Not stupid at all poppet, there's a whole different language to get to grips with, we've all been there. VG = Vegetable Glycerine PG = Propylene Glycol Eliquids are a combination of both those liquids, plus flavouring . . . the higher the PG content, then the more throat hit you'll experience, higher VG there's more vapour and a softer feel when vaping it. Thanks for explaining the abbreviations to me, like you say it is a completely different language. When you buy the juice will it show whether it's VG or PG and the ratio? I just had a quick look on the Myepack webpage and I couldn't see what the liquid/juice was. Sorry for even more questions.

Can't believe no one's mentioned this: try some VG-only juice. I have some "Pancake" and "Tennessee Cured" both 18mg and both VG-only and there's almost no "throat hit" compared to the usual 70/30 PG/VG. Still a nice buzz though If 12mg isn't really cutting it I'd recommend getting some 18mg and 24mg of something basic like VG-only RY4. Hi - sorry probably a really stupid question but what is VG only juice and the PG/VG? This is all so new to me so apologies for all the questions, feel like the new girl at school

Thanks for all your replies and welcomes! The starter kit I got from Myepack was the V1 power pcc starter kit which you use with the cartomizers. I am presuming you can buy blank/empty ones and fill with liquid?? At the moment I am using the pre-filled ones but open to suggestions. This one then... allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/34428/review-myepack-power-pcc-starterand you are struggling with the tobacco cartomizers (18mg) ? Yes that's the starter kit I got and it came with the 18mg tobacco cartomizers, thought it was the strength that I found hard to cope with so tried lower (12 and 6mg) but although it didn't burn as much in my throat just tasted like a bonfire in my mouth (or herbal tobacco if you have ever tried that - absolutely foul)

Can't believe no one's mentioned this: try some VG-only juice. Shall I try it? I have some blanks and some 100% VG Dekang... Thanks would appreciate it Finding it all very confusing so really do appreciate all the help I can get. I decided to go with the e-cig to start with as it feels slightly more familiar in my hand. I'm going away in a few weeks time so thought it would be easier to take the pre-filled cartomizers through customs but as it currently stands I hate the taste/burning throat sensation Is it easy to fill the blank cartridges with the liquid?

Hi everyone, just joined AAEC (fab site) and have been reading through all the various threads but can't seem to find the answer(s) I'm looking for regarding e-cigarettes so any advice/info greatly received :-) After many years of smoking finally decided to try and ditch the habit but do actually enjoy the "act" of smoking, I've got children, although never smoked in front of them or in the house but still find the time to smoke about 15 on a good day - more if I'm somewhere else without them and with friends that smoke - if you know what I mean!! After reading some of the threads decided to buy the starter system from MyPack. It came with the tobacco cartridge and also ordered the cherry flavour both in 18mg which I found to be a bit harsh at the back of my throat, so ordered lower nicotine ones but they don't do it for me and I end up just popping outside for a normal cig. Before I end up buying the entire range can someone give me some feedback on which cartridge(s) to try next which will give me the "hit" but not the burning throat sensation? Thanks everyone for your time and hopefully help
