I react badly to Midge bites, but that is down to the Histamine in my blood and so, as soon as I get bitten, a couple of Piriton pills soon sorts them out. I got bitten yesterday for the first time this year. I was destroying their homes. Mowed the lawn!!! George Hendry's book, "Midges in Scotland" is an excellent read for anyone who suffers from the dreaded Midge. It won't stop you getting bitten but it will help you to avoid the worst areas and times of day. It will also show you which type are best avoided, although you will need a microscope to tell you which type is which! Well I'm on antihistamines for skin itching problems and have been all my life. I have 25mg Atarax (Hydroxyzinehydrochloride) a day. still itch and get bitten. I've seen extracts from that book but i have not a copy my self, it's good isn't it. I think there is another book on the scottish midge as well, could be wrong. And as for the type, well i remember one thing all my life, Apparently it is only females that bite. go figure. Ruff

Sorry to bring up an older post but why start a new one. I am on my 3rd full day smoke free and went to bed last night with a niggling feeling. 2 of my hobbies are Fishing and Metal detecting and sometimes a smoke is the only way to clear the air for a few seconds. So I was wondering about vapor from these devices. I am being plagued with wasps in my office if i leave the window open i have at least 2 buzzing on the window. When I still only had an NJOY on Tuesday I blasted a puff at said wasp and it seemed to respond pretty much to how ciggy smoke would (ie it went a bit mental) I ain't that cruel normally, honest, not even to wasps usually but they are doin ma head in.
Funnily enough, both cats and my dog don't seem to give a monkeys about the e-cig or it's vapor (I fully expected my dog to think it was attacking me)
So any updates on this topic.
This is my first post outside my welcome thread. I am feeling good, 52 hours smoke free.

Thank you so much everyone for the welcomes, wow that's pretty special. Well I guess I have made it through my first day :-) I went for a cool beer after work with the missus and I,be not had a cig since about 8am. And I have not caughed all day. It can't be this pleasant to do it . can it. :-) I will keep you posted although I expect this may be a common scenario lol.

Hi All.
i am brand new to all this so let me introduce myself and settle down for the ride.
I'm 35 years old, been smoking pretty much since i was 16 and exclusivity roll ups for at least 15 years. (GV then amber leaf when it first came out in the little boxes with papers etc)
I probably smoke 20 -30 rollies a day but vary in thickness and depending if drinking etc etc.
Monday evening it was a glorious sunny time and I had a few beers in the local outside and on the way home decided to try one of the "Bull Brand" E-cigs. Disposable for £2.
Got home and well, I was quite impressed, I have never touched or held one of these artificial fags before (in fact i canny remember the last time I held a real pre rolled fag so it was strange) it was the 18mg nic flavor and it lasted about an hour and a half before the battery gave out and it flashed and went dead. Still i hadn't had a ciggie in the hour and a half. Went back to the shop yesterday and did a deal for some NJOY KINGS they were not selling so £2 a pop for me (coz I'm a nice guy) so I had that at 11am yesterday and it died at 11pm last night, grrrrrrrr so had to have a couple of rollies. (I hadn't had any for the 12 hours the NJOY worked) and TBH i wasn't impressed at the taste or feel of my rollie and just wanted another vape. !!! Got one this morning BUT. As I work from home I thought Sod it, I'll nip into town on the bus and see if I can get a "Proper" piece. at lunch time. Got home at 2pm with 2 x EGO-CE4 kits 650mah and 2 x 10ml juice for £20 I have VapourON liquid £3 /10ml /18mg Virginia and Watermelon (as suggested)
I have filled one up and the other has it's battery on charge works sooooooooo much better than disposables.
Thats It,
Thats my story, I am on a health kick, eating less moving more and never thought i'd be trying to give up ciggies and loose weight at the same time (usually the 2 dont go hand in hand lol)
ok. sorry long first post.
