Another thing worth mentioning on that 200 ohm range is to short out the leads, write down the reading and subtract it from the reading you get for the coil Montana Sorry, WHAT ? lol I've just realised that my multimeter only goes down to 2000 and not 200 so I do get a reading and it gives me a reading on 2, it won't do any decimal places , my bad. Sorry robby , I'm going to go a little off subject here , good price for a multimeter though. I have a one of these LINK , sorry about the ebay link , only one I could find with a decent picture of it quickly. Can I find out what resistance my coil is with one of these , if so , what setting do I need to use and where do I put the probes, as I've tried and got nothing, so I'm at a bit of a loss. Many thanks. Andy

I have a couple of aerotank mega clones and an original which have been used but cleaned. I am after something like protank 1 's or similar to use on my VTR without the extension tube. I prefer the 1 's as I have loads of evod coils which are used in them and are easy to rebuild! Would also swap for a decent dripper..... You can use Protank 2's on the VTR and they use standard EVOD coils, that's what I use , recoil and rewick myself. Andy

The worst flavour I've had has no name ( or none that I can remember ) and it was at this years Vapefest.
At the DV tent they were doing mixing demo's , which I will be doing in the near future , and there were two guys doing the demo. The normal mixing guy handed over the flavour to the other person and he , in turn handed out a flavour to the floor, to which one person said "Diablo Poco" . DV's product description of this flavour is "A full flavoured bowl of chilli in a vape, this ‘little devil’ will be irresistible to those who like it hot" , to this he added Sarsaparilla and blackcurrent. The blend was shaken and then an invite was sent to the crowd if anyone would like a taste.A big burly guy at the back took up the challenge took a toke and was coughing for 5 minutes , and I thought to myself it can't be that bad surely. Then an invite was sent for anyone else to try.My hand shot up like an eager school boy , half my head was thinking I wonder what it tastes like and the other was thinking "WTF ARE YOU DOING ! ".The ego was passed to me.Now, my normal style of vaping is mouth to lung via two tokes , the first one being a half toke then a proper one and for some strange reason I didn't think to change this.I took the first half toke and thought " I can't taste anything at all , perhaps it needs a bit more shaking to mix the flavours together a bit more " , then half way through the second and full toke the chilli hit and then the other two closely followed.I finished the out breath with a little coughing , trying not to be as bad as the guy behind , who was still coughing. It was VILE , a childhood phrase summed up this flavour well , " It was like sucking sick through a sweaty sock , whilst sitting on a dung heap".My god, it was awful.Even the normal mixing guy said , "I'm not trying that , and you can stay away from the mixing side of the business" and to be fair I think he was to do with marketing and was showing how easy mixing can be. I vaped, drank and eat and the flavour wouldn't go for at least an hour and I'm sure I taste buds get flash backs now.
So , it was a lesson learned , if someone says something is disgusting OR coughing their guts up , don't stick your hand up and think " It can't be that bad surely ? "

I use one of these... it's a good soldering iron and has lasted a lot of (ab)use. Changeable tips for soldering, or torch with adjustable flame: It's not cheap, but I'll be buying another when it gives up the ghost. This ones been going for 4 years or more, so it's pretty good value. www.maplin.co.uk/p/pro-iroda-solder-pro-70-gas-soldering-iron-n95ap
I had thought of this , but after having a Pro-Iroda ( the one I got in my original post ) I think their quality control is suspect to say the least , so I won't be getting one of these.
With gas products , I'll go with safety and then price , as long as it does the job.Once bitten twice shy and all that.

By the looks of the picture the Mini Protank 2's are the V1 , the ones without a removable drip tip , does anyone know if there the V1 or the V2 ?

That one looks good , and it has only one review that is low and that's because it wasn't as big as the customer wanted, which I think is more the customers fault, that any fault with the product itself. It looks more than good enough for what I need and small jobs.

Montana Screwfix have it, but I don't think you should pay £25 for the kit when mine was only £16
I think that £25 isn't to bad ,you got it at a really good price. One thing though , I can't seem to find it through the Rothenberger web site at all even under older models.
Can you use it on the stand, as I can't find a picture of someone using it and can it be locked on ?

I got the Rothenberger gas soldering iron kit from B&Q (well, someone has to). The torch itself is just slightly smaller than a nemesis+atty. Fits the toolbox really well. Lighter gas. Adjustable flame, locks on. Just need a lighter to light it. Doesn't blow itself out and the tip stays cool. I got it from B&Q cos they're just round the corner, and I feel safe with it being approved by B&Q.
Just had a look at their website and can't see anything from Rothenberger as far as torches are concerned.Do you have a link to it on another site please ?

After making my coils for a while and just torching them with an ordinary lighter ( which isn't effective at all ) , I decided to use my plumbers Rothenberger Super Fire 2 and the results in getting a tight microcoil were great. So , after doing this I went out and bought ( and wish I hadn't ) a smallish butane torch for coiling and it is THIS one.To say this is rubbish is a total understatement , my feelings are this is dangerous and how it EVER passed any UK testing is beyond me.Then I went on the internet and looked at others and the comments on all that I've found so far seem to be the same , either they won't light while gas is pouring out , or they fall apart in a few days , or after a period of non use they don't work at all.I certainly don't want to have to get my plumbers torch out every time I want to do coiling , it's to heavy , to big and easily knocked over , there are also many other reasons but the size of it with the foot long gas bottle is really a no no.
So , as the title suggests , does anyone know of something that I can use that is reliable , small and has a lockable ON feature ?

The one in Farnborough is "Sweetcloud" and I've been there myself , but only for a very short visit as I had my 5 year old with me at the time.
They have plenty of flavours , and by the looks of it more than I saw when I went there , nice relaxed staff , even a couple of chill out sofas too , if you've got the time in the morning give them a visit.

Down to 70 A, 294 W and an IQ of 21.
I certainly wouldn't have put his IQ in double figures , sorry , scratch that , I wouldn't have put his IQ in positive figures.
He certainly has a face that you would never tire of hitting.
