Whilst waiting for my vamo from focal I thought I would buy another vvvw, as currently down to one ego!, and have heard good things about the mvp2. My local b&m has offered me a 20% discount through their website if I order before midnight tonight. The MVP2 comes to £35.49 inc delivery, having done some searching seems like a great deal, does anyone know of any uk based seller cheaper?

dickyg A very kind member on the forum did the centre pin for me for me as when I did it I buggered it up! and it worked a treat. Unfortunately I had another problem with the button sticking on today and that killed the unit completely

Romney mine played up for while before it died. Have you checked if the grommet below the centre pin is intact?

I think a lot of it is to do with the centre pin being temperamental, have you tried raising it slightly?

Hi Perpetua I have emailed Ash at myepack to see if he can sell the zmax unit on its own.  he can as I like dealing with myepack, they are one of the better vendors I have used. oh and thanks for throwing the SID into the mix icon_shoppingm |

Hi ruffdog I had a problem with the fire button working intermittently and the ohm checker not reading the coil resistance. Did the usual raising the centre pin, which fixed it for a while. However today it fired and stayed on, (got abit warm!!!), when I tried raising the centre pin the solder had come away with the wire and had dropped into the unit. I am sending it Dr ronaldo tomorrow, but I think on this occasion I think it may be terminal. If Dr Ronaldo can't resuscitate it he will hopefully be able to transplant some of its organs to give another SVD a chance to live a full and productive life. |

Thanks everyone, just seen the group buy on focal.......so it's tempting to get a zmax from a uk supplier, as I'm without any devices since svd gave up the ghost, (gave old equipment to a mate!). Then order vamo from focal, sorted. Anyone recommend a uk supplier for Zmax please?

My SVD shuttled off this mortal kanger coil today. I am looking to replace it ASAP as I have no backup, however I also don't want to rush into it and buy something unreliable again!
I've narrowed it down to the vamo or zmax, (I think!!!!!!!) and I am looking for a bit of advice as to the pros and cons of these devices, does anyone own both? I just don't know which one to go for!!!
