yeah doesnt look horrible. Behind the plastic will be a strip of metal/copper..its really simple. I'm a but concerned you're going to be underwhelmed though..if you got rid of the owl, then this thing is very close in terms of how things work, but made from metal. Filling it is similar enough to be "the same"..putting batteries in is "the same". The switch is a better idea on the reo, but will require maintenance (as per most mech switches..noalox/whatever) there's some pictures here blog.3fvape.com/mod-apv/reo-grand-style-mechanical-box-mod-unboxing/which show the 510 connector is adjustable with a hex..this isnt how the original works (slotted screw as per a pbusardo closeup video, although I've never seen a real one in real life), and the inside pictures show the bottle and tubing tilted quite a bit. I think this is because the tubing has a natural bend and a battery isnt fitted, so it is slanting the bottle, but we'll just have to see when it arrives. It could also be that the sample for photography didnt have the 510 press fitted straight, which is easy to fix. You're buying an owl, albeit a (hopefully) much more reliable, sturdier owl.(says the man who has two in full time operation with no faults after about a month...love me Owl I do:-)

3fvape's video of the reo grand...so this will be the exact item received. For whatever reason, the video is flipped, so everything you see on the left, is actually on the right, and vice versa.

LP on the left...normal Reo grand on the right...compare the height of the base the atty sits on the actual 510 connector is the same height on both of these items, just the one on the right has some extra metal

it looks like an origen, but if it is on that mod then that mod is a reo grand LP. Low profile...the top is milled about 2mm or 3mm lower to remove the catchcup restriction, which then allows all 22mm atties to fit nicely. Our clone Dolly's are standard reo grand..not LP. it'll be obvious once the device is in hand and you'll quickly see what needs to be done..

I'm "quite satisfied" in the sense that it couldve been way worse. I've waited two years for this device to arrive and when it did arrive it was at a stellar price. We knew pretty soon that there was going to be a delay of a few weeks, give or take, and that you can wait or leave, and while the info given wasnt 100% accurate, it was within a few days error margin...considering they had a national holiday in the meantime, and we cant even build a railway on time or budget (to the nearest decade or £50billion) I'm quite happy to have my tracking number today. Did Gina intentionally deceive? doubt it. Quite possibly the information she was working on wasnt 100% either. We're all human. I visit a number of forums and could see this reo/3fvape thing on most of them, and Gina was updating all of them when she had info, and responding to individual requests as required. Probably took up most of her 5pm-8pm time.
yep yep...easily pleased..thats me:-) Possibly because I'm used to Africa-time..which is a whole 'nother ball game of waiting.
P.S. I bought a reo grand for £20. steal of a deal.

at least yours has shipped. Do you believe the number they gave you is false in an attempt to placate you somehow?

well..captain slow here, checking in again. After the awesome Vaping bad hooked me up with some nickel on saturday at the lond+se vape meet, I built a few coils today and played around with the little red flask. This would also be my first TC device.
Its like traction control, but for wattage and juice control:-) I've got a mini-erl which either leaks or dry hits, so I built it with a coil+wick that I was convinced would dry hit, set it to 20w and 430deg F and let it rip...and you can visibly see the chip dropping the watts to keep things under control (for reference, it went down to as low as 4watt all by itself...considering I ran this on an istick 20w at 5.6w with the occasional ugh moment, it does seem right). Leave it for a bit to cool down, and it'll fire nice, then slowly drop the watts again, all the while "temperature protection" is flashing away. The vape however remained ever so consistent. Amazing:-)
Built a dripper (igo-w) with a similar coil, did the same, and it'll drop the watts to about 11w or so to keep the temp steady and under control. Even better the only way you know you need to drip is the vape quantity slowly drops off. The taste stays the same, same heat.
This is pretty clever stuff, and I'm impressed. (both coils were around 0.24ohms) using 0.3 nickel.. What is even nicer is to just wet the wick a bit one or two drops and fire away, and you can see what the chip is doing as the liquid diminishes. I'm going to dig out my old aqua v1 (functional juice control) and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to see how the juice control affects the throttling of the chip. That flask squonker is looking even more tempting.

If you search for the model no. it comes up 4134, not tried other search terms yet. maybe they were just fiddling the product on their site, as it comes up in search again. I actually tried earlier using 4134 which I got from my order history and still had no results. Anyway, the blip has passed, no consipracy:-)

the product page normally has text saying "ships in 10 days" or whatver....and I used to find it by typing "reo" into the 3fvape searchbox. today..."no product found"...in fact, I cant find the reo product (clone) on their ste at all..even using different search terms.
..and order still not shipped.

thanks for all the people for making this one of the nicest, most chilled evenings I've had in a long while. Everything about the meet was spot on and thanks to those who brought all their gear so we could "have a go" :-)

its labelled as a chain cleaner for a bicycle..the penis bit looks to be a handle...so the thing clips over the chain, you hold the handle and somebody moves the pedals..the little cogs inside seem like they mate with the chain and spin about as the chain moves over it. now...how it actualy cleans the chain is the bit that is confusing me....
