just tried again,and still getting 0.5,i followed the vid,tried less wraps,still get 0.5 :-(

hi guys, thanks for the replies, although sadly i have a new problem :-( i have bought some 28 awg kanthal (as used by rip trippers for a protank 2 build) i have tried 12 wraps 11 wraps, 6 wraps and probably everything in between , and i either get a reading from my mvp v2 of 0.5 or 0.0 . what am i doing wrong? and thats happening with 2 different types of wire too, a 25 and 45(i think as the girl in the shop didnt label them ..DOH! :-) i appreciate the 0.0 is probably a short? maybe,as the bigger wraps seem to be a bit big, but the 0.5 suggests a reading . i have also used different wrapping implements, such as a cotton bud shaft and an ink cartridge syringe needle. ant ideas would be great thanks guys ;-)

hi everyone, i thought i would have a go at doing a coil build on my pro tank 2. so i have some questions.
firstly how do you determine the resistance, is it by the thickness of the wire? or the amount of turns, ie 6,12,etc. and why does having lower resistance make for a better vape? i bought an iclear 30b a while back which only had a single 1.6 coil in it, so,thinking this wasnt right, i ordered some proper twin coil 2.0 . i quite liked the 30b when it had the 1.6 in it, but its rubbish with the 2.0 coils, and im curious why this is. thanks for your time guys ;-)

That's the only thing I can think of apart from if they had sub ohm coils in which is highly doubtful  weird one. If it was all the tanks I'd think short or pin issue but with one working that's just odd. Have you tried swearing at it? Sometimes helps i was using words that shouldnt be uttered by mortals :-) |

Might be the centre pin on the mvp not connecting with the bottom of the coils. Try and lever it up slightly and try again failing that it could be a short but having one of the tanks working would seem to indicate it's the pin if it's been depressed by screwing an atty on too tight. thanks for the tip, but sadly have tried that,:-( its just so weird that three tanks wont work but one will,and weirder that they all work on an ego |

hi, im sharkeyfinn, i from england, it is a month today that i started vaping full time(nearly) i was a 30 a day rollup smoker,and im now down to perhaps 2 a day now. i didnt realise there was such a big community attached to vaping,and how much of a hobby it has become for me.
i bought an itaste mvp v2 a couple of weeks ago and for some reason,i cant use my aspire nautilus,protank 2 or iclear 16, but i can use my iclear 30b. it started with the iclear 16 last week then saturday the protank 2 and yesterday the nautilus, it is fully charged, but the green light seems to stay on for a long time and sort of locks me out of switching it off, any ideas guys/ cheers ;-)
edit, by the way i can use the tanks on an ego vv battery
