I even find tropical tobacco quite nice. More authentically tobacco thank alotmof ry4 but with fruity undertones which just smooths it out a bit

Been offline a couple days .
Back on topic. .. buying that amount of silver new would be considerably more but....
$4k is just way way overpriced!!
Still thinking alot about this and hopefully will be trying a reo out to gain some more experience with a squonker in the near future.

I agree, if I had even the slightest ability to chisel wood ... I'd have tried building my own!! Considering the model I use is over 100 euros - I was tempted...seriously tempted to take up wood whittling! I'm sure anyone who's even partially handy could do it? Not that I'm knocking sunbox - or reo mods, but it doesnt look too complex and if you are in any way 'handy' I'm sure a good little mechanical squonker can be rustled up! See that's my thoughts exactly. They are very simple little devices by there nature getting it to work smoothly may prove different but I must have a go. Thanks for the input

I'm using an igo S bottom feeder, its as cheap as chips - about £20 and it vapes very well. I know on the sunbox site they also have the battery connection parts - again - very reasonable if you dont want to source all over the place As for the tubing to fit (sunbox ready made connector) I sourced mine off eBay << Clear Translucent Silicone Tubing FDA Approved Milk Hose Beer Pipe Soft Rubber M >> Wall Thickness: 1.6mm Wall Thickness Hose O.D: 4.8mm Outside Diameter (O.D) Hose I.D: 1.6mm Internal Diameter (1/16 Inch) Sold Per: 1 Metre (1000mm)(100cm)(1Mtr)(M)Hope info helps That's great to know some really useful info there..

Pepperty your a star that's excellent!! Amazingly simple device really. Can't seem to many issues in making the unique bits to a squonker! When you have your camera out some shots of the 510 would be great but honestly there is no rush just when yiu have it out would be great Is rhat a specific atty to the mod or a modified rda? Thanks again most helpful!

These were my initial thoughts and i love the idea of doing as much myself as I can and making somthing truely one off/bespoke. Guess that's juts in my nature in my line of work. I tend not to buy anything in even when its available of the shelf as i love the challenge and being able to say I made that at the end of it all is part of the satisfaction really If I wasn't confident in my ability and the tools equipment I have to hand though starting with a pre made mod and modding it would be the best option. Silver contacts etc, although in the real world prob won't make a great deal of difference but it certainly would very cool I think you'll do fine as you are used to planning and executing artefacts, have a decent workshop and like a project to get stuck into. We are all different and like to take different sized steeps, but I think you are a bit like me and want the motivation of making something better than you can buy, something you can't buy or making it cheaper than you can buy it. I built an ambitious mod on my first try (link in my sig), the execution wasn't as good as the design, but I did it and using it everyday for the last 8 months. I think that the next thing to motivate me to do another (cash & time allowing) is a squonker or the next gen DNA. VapingBad summed it right up mate. Exactly that!! I'm so used to working on a tiny scale this is relatively massive even individual components will be on the larger side for me. Will check out your sig when im not looking on my phone. Thanks

It's only a hollow centre pin/ a plastic/silicon tube & a bottle more complicated than any other mod and I think that as long as you have a suitable atty when you finalise the centre pin it is quite doable from scratch. These were my initial thoughts and i love the idea of doing as much myself as I can and making somthing truely one off/bespoke. Guess that's juts in my nature in my line of work. A Reo or a Sunbox would give you a place to start. A model to emulate, a source of parts and some hands on with an established device. Have fun. I Appreciate the input in any form mate. I do have access to a lathe etc so hoping to get going without the expense of buying another mod tbh although there is no doubt it would make things simpler

In fact as an example I have in front of me silver box not quite big enough for the job. Would happily house 18350 battery (possibly two) with room for a 5-8mm bottle It's very rigid and robust as it has curved front and back thus giving surface strength and rigidity
And guess what it weighs... 55.34g
Scrap price on the silver weight based on this afternoons price would be £16
So I'm more than confident in fact I'm certain a lovely little compact mod could easily be made
And as mentioned these are materials I'm surrounded by. I have a huge amount of scrap silver and some gold too.
I just love making things and I love a challenge get even more!

Not a great deal more than a solid hardwood wooden box mod that's for sure. I'm not talking about a billet of silver rather a hollow box from 1-1.5mm sheet small and compact.
The whole point if this thread is that I want to build somthing myself mate not buy another mod.
I'm a maker I do it for a living and i love doing it for fun too...

Ah ok. So some options available of the shelf...interesting indeed
Still toying with the idea of building somthing bespoke but will check out the pieces mentioned above for inspiration for sure
Probably start mech initially but regulated could be really good eventually.
May build a sterling silver box and use that for all the bespoke parts as it's readily available to me. Could even use gold!
Thanks for the info people

Hi
I've been thinking about this for a while now and im very keen to hear anyone's own experiences and thoughts on building or modding somthing into a squonker.
I'm a jewellery designer maker buy trade and have access to some pretty cool workshop equipment materials and tools so that side of things shouldn't be a problem.
There seems to be very little info around in relation to squonker. But from what I can see the main thing is modding a dripper and 510 connection to allow the juice to pass through from the bottom.
How is this achieved on the reo etc??
Is there anywhere that sells and of the parts required?
And if you own or have built a squonker show me some pics please.
Thanks for reading Barney
