Not only double the 500 mA, but even more worrying is the 5.0 V part , surely it should be regulated to 4.2 volts ??? Thats what people are getting wrong. A proper Ego charger will have a rated input of 5v at 500ma and a regulated output of 4.2v around 420ma or 470ma. The wall adapter is just supplying the 5v. Providing you have a decent Ego charger that is ce marked it will have all the circuitry inside to properly charge a battery and stop when it's charged. The problem arises when you get some dodgy bit of kit that just uses a couple of resistors to drop the voltage a bit and does not cut off when the battery is charged. PLEASE just look for the ce mark. Edited because I cant type

Good advice from VE Jason there. The colour change is due to the caremelisation of the juice and is harmless, though if it gets to a treacle colour it may taste a bit burnt. Get into the habit of changing your coils around once a week or if they're vaping OK giving them a quick rinse through and your tanks. As to losing the taste, if you are letting your tank run dry the liquid will caremelise on the coil and form a hard shell then the vapour and taste will diminish. Also just vaping one flavour desensitises you to that flavour, (Vapers Tongue) I rotate between 3 flavours and find that keeps my tastebuds "on their toes". Thanks. It wasnt so much the taste I was loosing. It was just I turned into this raging maniac who would boil his own granny for a pack of stinkies After a bit of research I think the nic was evaporating when the juice got hot. and I didn't really let the tank run dry.... One dry hit is enough for this lifetime thank you. but once the juice was down to around 1ml it was worse

I have just had this from VE Jason Seems like it isnt an issue just a peculiarity Hi I only haven't replied because I'm not allowed to post in the beginners section The liquid darkening quickly is nothing to worry about and is quite common, just caused by the heating of the coil - especially when the liquid level gets low. We sell around 300 bottles of the standard menthol each week and would definitely know if there was an issue. Try keeping the tank a bit more topped up for a while and see if that has an effect (but, like I say - liquid darkening or crystallising a little is common - especially with menthols and high sugar liquids). Hope that helps Jason

Make sure you label it with strength, percentage mix, date made and name. That way when you make another you'll not get confused. I have over 30 bottles of juice in various stages of development, so need to keep on top of what's what. What recipe did you use rughead121 ? Yea I got the label on it I was so chuffed that I had to take a piccy before I did Anyhow I found this recipe that I was told was good for beginners

OK I kind of think its the juice. I was kind of hoping for some input from VE Jason but no sign yet. Anyway as you saw a good clean out and a new coil and the juice still goes dark. I bought some cheap and nasty juice (Dekang pineapple) and thats been in my tank all day with the same coil (I dont recommend pineapple menthol) and it hasnt changed colour. The thing is I am starting to worry now

I'm charging my MVP2 and I've got two USB chargers, a 1A and a 2A. It doesn't matter which one I plug it into it draws the same current, 0.9A. Chargers less than 0.9A will also work with the MVP2 but will take longer to charge. Don't worry about the size of the charger, just make sure you buy good quality equipment. You can get one of these to monitor the current (and voltage) and see for yourself www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Accessories/XTAR-USB-Detector.HtmlAlso useful for mobile phones, tablets etc. Now THAT is a handy bit of kit. I feel some shinyitis coming on......

Ok I take it the bottle of the left was what was decanted from your tank? That's not good.
Sorry I should have said that Yes the bottle on the right is what went in the one on the left is what came out after an hour

The liquid is Vapeescape standard menthol and it's about 2 months old. I am using genuine kanger dual coils at 1.5 ohm. I usually have the voltage around 3.8 or 4.2 volts. I have been a bit paranoid about it and I have been throwing the dregs out and washing the tank out. I haven't been changing the coil so much as there is no drop off of taste or vapour. and it works well with different juice. Oooh, I wouldn't have thought it was the juice at fault then, although these things happen.
I would stick with the 3.8 setting for a 1.5 coil.
All I can suggest is wash the tank extremely well , leave it to soak overnight, pop a brand new coil in and see what happens.
People seem to try to get overtime from their coils which I don't understand, yes we all want to make vaping as cheap as possible, but compared with smoking a new coil every few days is nothing. ( just a general comment , not aimed at you )
I will tag VE Jason for you .
I personally wouldn't even attempt to vape menthol which has gone dark , we just need to try to work out why yours is doing so.
OK I have taken your advice. I have scrubbed out my tank and changed my coil. This was after an hour

Like I said you need to make sure that your charger has a ce mark.
Personally my charger is connected to something that is capable of giving much higher power but I am happy that it draws only the correct current and that it is safe.
Having seen a few batteries explode if you are not sure dont do it. ALWAYS look for ce marks. They are there to keep you safe

I never get into the electronics side of it as whoosh there it went over my head.
All my wall plugs and usb leads have a joyetech logo on them, I know I am as safe as can be with proper use.
LOL Sorry the training kicked in there. I am an engineer in the electronics industry (Yes there are still some in the UK)

Heya guys, just a quick question. So I'm ordering my emow mega kit tomorrow and I don't think it comes with a UK USB adapter plug. Would it be fine to use my iphone plug with it? OK The general rule is. Any product sold in or to the uk must be fitted with a standard 3 pin plug. (Some supply adapters but these must meet the BSi Standard) Also it SHOULD be ok to use your iPhone charger. Although this charger is capable of supplying 2A or 4A you only really need 500mA (or 0.5A) this should in no way damage what you plug into it. It only uses what you need. The analog would be your home power sockets. There is enough power there to boil a kettle and then some but you do not damage your iPhone by plugging it into the same socket. The thing that you need to be careful of is Some batteries will explode if you leave them charging for too long after they reach full charge. Luckily there are not so many of these around, chargers are required to stop charging when the battery reaches full charge. Some cheap (Chinese) chargers dont do this but it is illegal to sell these within the EU Just look for the ce mark on your charger and you know you are safe.

Ok this may be a dumb question so if it is feel free to flame away I am using a Kanger T3D tank with a Vision spinner II battery. When I have menthol juice in it it turns brown pretty quickly, like within a couple of hours. The more I vape the darker it gets. When it's really brown I dont seem to be getting any nic from it. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help it or do I just need to put less juice in my tank. As far as I can tell it's only the menthol juice this happens to but that is the only clear juice I use . I use menthol and have never had it go dark at all, always clearish. I do change my coil a couple of times a week for menthol, and swap tanks so that the one that was been used gets an overnight soak. So in other words fill with menthol on Sunday, Wednesday fill up a new tank with a new coil, and pop other into soak, bin coil. Maybe this stops it, or maybe it is your liquid?
What brand is it, and how old is it? Also what ohm is the coil, and what volts are you setting at?

Ooh minty menthol sounds delish. Would you be willing to share the recipe and is it easy for a beginner's mix?
