Thanks *-SARIN-* for the explanation. Fair play I missed the 100 proof, I just saw 100% and thought oh dear Personally I think there are enough (relatively) safe flavourings available commercially so I probably wont be cooking up any of my own. Having said that I do mix menthol crystals with PG ( Frogster (The Alchemist) has an excellent guide for this) and I am just about to have a go at mixing Vanillin crystals with PG.

Hi miltiades I just want to add a note of caution if you are using pure alcohol for extraction. This may act as a solvent and extract more than you want. You may extract some nasty chemicals along with the flavourings. I don't know enough about it, I am not a chemist but I am sure that Frogster (The Alchemist) mentions something about this in his tobacco extraction guide. maybe Kevin or *-SARIN-* (I think he is a chemist) can say whether I am talking total nonsense or not.

happylomanA 'dripper' is a dripping atomiser. It is an atty that you add juice to a couple of drips at a time rather than fill a tank up. Most of them are rebuild-able so you would have to build your own coils but I think you can get disposable drippers. People who use them say they give the best flavour and vapour possible.

Anyone got any ideas on % to use these concentrates at?? The website quotes 6-8% for the ones I got. Mixed all mine at 8% just playing the waiting game now.

Evening rughead121 Glad to hear your you received your order ..........now, as you have decided to make my brain work lets get to it There will be new flavours coming on this month and im sure we can get a spearmint to be one of them ....I will take a look at some different Liquorice flavours for you (have you already tried our red liquorice?)...We do have an After Eight flavour that we have not long finished creating which I can send you a sample if you like and you can let us know your thoughts...... Finally what type of additives are you after? ..........................Ok, im ready.......Hit me with it HaHaha Sorry to make you work late. Ok I haven't tried your red liquorice, I was kind of looking for a true liquorice extract type taste rather than a sweetie taste. (I know, I don't want much do I?) I may try your red stuff in with my next order. I would love to try your after 8 mint flavour I could send you some of mine and we can swap notes LOL My own mix of after dinner mints is quite a complex one so I would love to replace it with a one shot concentrate. Any sample you send me I will give an honest review for ( I do it for other people ) I am fairly ok for additives at the moment but a moment of clarity occurred today while I was mixing up some vanillin crystals I would quite happily pay for pre mixed vanillin (Especially as I had to buy enough crystals to make around 4 gallons) and it annoys me to go elsewhere just to buy koolada and MTS vape wizard (and pay all those postage charges) it would be SO much better if I could just visit one supplier and get everything my little heart desires LOL.

Got my order today @ukflavours Just to throw a spanner in the works, is there any chance you might stock the following 1. Spearmint I love a nice spearmint 2 liquorice I am finding it hard to get a nice liquorice taste that is safe to vape 3. Mint choc chip Who doesn't like this flavour? A certain flavouring firm that begins with C make a great Dutch mint choc, it would be great if you could get something similar. Finally do you have any plans to offer additives? Sorry to be a pain but hey thats why you love me

Hi Guys when you refer to your mix at 15/20% is that 1.5ml 2.0ml of concentrated and I guess if you want more flavour you add more. One other thing can you add extra concentrated after you have done your batch if you want it stronger Sorry for stupid questions yes it's 1.5-2ml per 10ml mix. Adding more concentrate works to an extent but once you reach the maximum adding more will change or even decrease the overall flavour. Each flavour has it's own maximum. Yes you can add more concentrate but you will then need to steep your juice all over again. Remember the only stupid question is the one you dont ask

Just to further add to Sarah's @ukflavours excellent answer . . . . personally I believe that concerns surrounding Acetyl Propionyl & Acetoin have been over exaggerated somewhat. They are only present in minute quantities in flavourings, which are even more miniscule when diluted in a mix. Although both require that extra steeping/blending time to be at their nicest, as anyone who mixes Vanilla Custard knows. Although they're far from exclusive in Custard/Cream flavours, there's a well known Cinnamon Danish concentrate that also does. As this isn't a Vendor thread as such, I hope Sarah forgives me if I post this link which also gives some sound information: shop.perfumersapprentice.com/t-FlavorWorkshopCustard.aspxCapella bowed to pressure in the US, re-producing their entire range free of these - they do not taste as nice, nor through choice would I buy them. +1 for that Capella V2 are compared to the originals
