I know.... just trying based on what the guy on UKV has done. Samething. See what happens I guess. Butcher..  Well... if only I knew someone with a lathe who could perhaps machine out a bit of brass to be the same size as the S19 bit...... then I wouldn't be a butcher  |

I've ordered a tap and die set with the right size and some standard M6 bolts & washers to use them on. Apparently they do the trick. I'll pop one in with your kick Mate you can't really do that, I may work a little but all your doing is cross threading and cutting through the original thread. I know.... just trying based on what the guy on UKV has done. Samething. See what happens I guess. |

Hi ukricI'm drawn to the shiny mod but have promised not to buy another one for a while. So can you put me down for a kick to be posted. Thanks On a side note and not wanting to hijack the thread. The button on my 19b is mis-firing. Have you any suggestions? I saw a video where a guy put something under the switch to help it maintain connection with the inside of the tube. On a positive note I got the SG-1 kit for it yesterday and it's rocking an RSST hybrid styley! I've ordered a tap and die set with the right size and some standard M6 bolts & washers to use them on. I saw somewhere... and i'll try and dig it out tomorrow when i can focus properly again (hic) that you can straight swap out the whole brass section for a particular brass bolt...
I just can't remember where i saw it. If I find them I'm gonna buy a pack. I'll send one on to you if I manage to get some. I think off the top of my head it's a M6 bolt with 0.75 pitch (whatever that means)
The other option is to get the magnet out, tap and die and use that screw I put in with it cut to size.

Got to give him his due, it's very well designed and made. Can't see he'll add more to the design now so maybe he'll move onto something else ? He has a new telescopic mouthpiece in the making + a new design penelope And he's going to be be making achilles and proteus I don't think we'll see any big atties from him for a little while to come If he's making the proteus I wonder if we'll all get our numbers from the original ECF thread |
