Morning,
I just had some vape mail!!! My koopor mini and uwell crown turned up. I would like to try temp control using the stainless steel coils that come with the uwell but i am not sure what i need to set the tcr too. it seems to not go low enough for temp control. so is anyone using this set up or does anyone have some advice?

having played about with electronic temperature sensing with arduino and other pic platforms you may find passive temp reading will incur some processing overhead, and active temp reading will require recharge periods between measurements, So actively monitoring coil temps during a few seconds of vaping is gonna be a challange. perhaps we will end up with pid controlled mods reaching for a temp ceiling in ever decreasing power surges.. That's a fascinating idea. How does that work? What processing is needed? With thing like the DNA 200, there is a place for an intelligent chip |

Torchy the battery boy (on ukv and ebay) has the new samsung 30q at 13.50 delivered. these are supposed to be better than the samsung 25s and will let you go higher than 100w if you want. Also, remember to keep the batteries for your smok in pairs and not use them in other mods.

I am tempted by the idea of ni and titanium but the idea of dangerous chemicals being created if you over heat the coil are putting me off. Is stainless steel safer?

I just had mine delivered from gearbest and i have to say i am impressed at how quickly it got here. It was 3 working days from it leaving gear best and being in my hand!
The mod is great too, just upgrading the fw to 1.09

Hi, I just got into the office and this magnificent drip tip was waiting for me. It almost makes up for the rain!!! For those of you who are tempted, mr evl is really nice to deal with, the tip has excellent build quality and the little metal box (with spare O rings and a pipe cleaner) is a nice touch!! if only i hadnt blown this month vape budget, i would have grabbed a couple more!!  |
