Good Morning (or afternoon). I exported a PDF this morning of the preliminary survey results through 500 responses. Feel free to take a look. I have not had time yet to begin any in-depth analysis, but will hopefully be able to do some today or tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any questions! Hello all. I am Randy Willis, aka kurzondax. Used the name FactualVaper on here just to match my forthcoming blog. This post may look familiar to some who frequent other vaping forums, but wanted to provide you with some info on the survey.
I wanted to take a moment to just let everyone know I am overwhelmed and amazed at the response the survey has received from here, and from other vapers around the world. 27 different countries are represented in the 450+ responses received so far, but the UK continues to have the highest response rates.
The vaping family is incredibly strong, and growing stronger everyday. Millions of lives are being saved because of it. My humble hope is that surveys such as this one will help get our collective voices heard. Tobacco Control and the academics associated with them may never accept surveys such as this, but people with open minds will. I have not decided on a target number of responses or fixed date to close the survey, but it will definitely remain up for a while. The more data, the better. In the mean time, I'm tweeting some of the results on twitter. You don't have to follow me if you don't want, but if you'd like to add me to a list or something, it's @vapedupgaming.
As a side note, I wanted the survey to be professional in design. I am not affiliated with any ecig, vaping, tobacco, tobacco control, or even marketing organization, company, or vender. The company I do work for provides medical transcription outsourcing and clinical documentation systems. It does not, however, endorse my vaping advocacy or the survey in any way. The survey was completely composed by myself on my own free time.
Results from the survey will be made freely available to the vaping community to use however any of you see fit. I view it as a community effort to openly express our views on the availability of choices.
I owe forum member jessica an enormous amount of gratitude for her help in getting the word out and helping support this endeavor.
Lastly, I do apologize for anyone that has had difficulty in completing the survey. I'm at the mercy of polldaddy.com's technology. If you have major problems, feel free to PM with as much info as possible, and I can open a support ticket with polldaddy.
Thank you again for adding your voice to the survey.
