Hi all I've been vaping for just over 1 year now, and have been trying to make my own e-juices (without too much success) for the past 6 months. The problem I'm having is that pretty much everything I make seems to turn out quite bland, or seems to be ok ish for a few vapes and then loses flavour (except Absinthe or menthol type mixes). I'm thinking that the cause of this may be down to one (or more) of the following: 1. Not enough concentrate percentage (it usually totals between 20% and 25%) 2. Using a coffee whisk to give it a 'starter steep' 3. Vaping at not high enough wattage (I normally vape between 8.5w and 15w. Any higher and there seems to be all heat with no flavour at all). Hopefully someone can set me on the right path (before I go back on the fags Thanks in advance for any help Paul P.S. I switch between 4 and 5 different flavours per day, so don't think it is taste bud's getting used to one particular flavour.

If you get a 10mm tap make sure its a 1mm pitch That's a great call @windows. Not being a 'engineering' type of person I wouldn't have thought of that, and would have just bought a 10mm, thinking they were all the same Obviously, the Fat Daddy Vapes 510 v3 (short body) is a 1mm thread pitch then?

Hi all Coming to this thread a little late, but I am just about to attempt to fit a 510 (replacing the eGo completely) into my MVP 2. Was wondering which 510 would be the best option? 1. Fat Daddy Vapes 510 V3 Short Body - I know this is spring loaded, but not low profile. 2. Fat Daddy Vapes 510 v4 Low Profile Connector - Not sure if this is spring loaded. 3. Any other suggestions? I believe both are 15.5mm, but unaware if there is anything else I should consider. Would it be much better to get a spring loaded pin? Did I hear somewhere that the top of the MVP can be simply tapped to 10mm, but it needs to be a 'right handed' tap? (is RH just a normal UK tap?) saw it hereAny suggestions greatly appreciated Thanks for the advice phtumshk, option 1 (sprung) it is then. I'll update the thread when the job is complete to let you know how it went. Stealth vape low prof 22mm 510s are ok though FT are now selling them for around £2. when I did mine I just epoxied a regular 510 extension in it but sprung is always best bet on a upgrade. Good find that about the tap and yes right hand is just a regular tap.

Haven't seen any reviews on this yet so here goes. I've mixed Mom and Pops concentrates before and generally find them a bit weak. This one however is really very nice. I can only describe it as a fresh, tangy ry4. It makes a nice change from a caramel, vanilla ry4. I really can't tell you what I get on inhale, exhale etc....I never can on any juice...I just know whether I like it or I don't !!! Anyway I mixed at 22% concentrate, 50/50 pg/vg at 12% nic. I tested it this morning after 7 days of steeping ( couldn't wait any longer) so it may change with another weeks steeping. At the moment I like it very much. I have also previously mixed their Dragon tobacco...I like that also but this one wins because of its fresh, zingy taste. Worth a try I think for you mixers out there. +1 for mom & pops citrus tobacco, although I only mix it at 13% (so as to give just a hint of citrus). My advice would be to start at 10% and go from there

Thank you for all the welcome's to the forum. Much appreciated. Yep (hands up with guilt), in hindsight I should have been more knowledgeable and made my 1st post in the new members area. Lesson learn't :0 Glad to be part of the AAEC forum, and hopefully in time I can gain the experience to be a useful and active board member.
The message issue with Chef's has now been resolved (put down to technical gremlin's). Karl has been in touch and is looking into it for me.
Onward and upward!

Apologies if my 1st post was deemed to be negative by some, I certainly didn't mean it to be that way. When posting, I thought I was just asking if anybody else had experienced similar problems with Chef's Vapour not responding to messages.
Glad to know that Chef's Vapour is regarded as a well respected vendor, it gives me some comfort that I can count on them in the future.
You know what they say? If you don't ever ask the question, you'll never know the answer.

Thanks for the forum welcome and support guys. Nah, I'm not put off by the few negative replies, sadly it seems to be the norm nowadays, water off a duck's back. Update: I contacted Chef's Vapour again, and just had a reply from Karl, who is now trying to sort it for me. So all good news

Hi all Many thanks for your comments re the 'no response from Chef's Vapour'. It seems by the positive comments that everyone has had nothing but good service from them. Also from the comments, yes I understand that maybe they are very busy, and yes as Perpetua says quite correctly that 'Vendors also have private lives' I'm quite happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, but as I said in my post, all I was asking for was a simple reply to my messages, in order that I didn't inhale a product into my body that maybe 'not quite right'. In response to some of the posts in response: 1. No I'm not the person from Facebook who posted a similar question. 2. No I didn't sign up just to make mischief. 3. Yes it was my 1st and only post to date (I only joined on 11th Feb) 4. Yes when I posted I then went offline (Well, it was Saturday and as Perpetua said, people also have private lives) 5. No mrmotivapr, I'm not a troll. What I did sign up to the forum for, was: As as smoker of cigarettes for 45 years, who has recently given up (Oct 2014), I've now been gripped with this 'new hobby' and wonderful replacement. Since October 14, I've been trawling (not trolling) through all the vaping forums, and watching all the informative and supportive video's on youtube which have helped me to kick a horrible habit. I then found this forum, and it looked worthwhile registering, as everyone seemed so helpful and friendly. What I didn't sign up for was name calling, or petty accusations! I've also learnt to only post 'happy posts' in future, so the amateur sleuths don't have a reason to question my reasons for posting Thanks again to the people who posted helpful replies, my mind's more at ease now with using Chef's Vapour for my supplies. I'll try contact them again with regard to my problem.

I'm fairly new to vaping and e-cigs (vaping for around 6 months). Like everyone else starting out I've been trying various UK juice suppliers in an attempt to settle on a few favourites. After trying a few, I was attracted to Chef's Vapour due to their good choice of concentrates from well known companies, all at competitive prices.
So to cut a long story short, I placed an initial juice order early January and it arrived next day. As I was so pleased with the service, and being a great believer in praise where praise is due, I messaged the company with a 'hearty well done'. I got a message straight back saying that it was a team effort, and that my feedback was greatly appreciated, and would be passed on to all concerned.
My following order was placed 10 days ago. Unfortunately, this one didn't go so smooth. Same superfast delivery, but a problem with one on my juice concentrates (bad chemical/perfume taste and extremely weak). I was a bit concerned to use the juice (tasting like it was), so messaged to ask if this was normal, or if they had received any other messages about this particular concentrate.
5 days later, and no reply. So I then messaged again to respectfully ask for a reply (as I was worried about using the juice) 5 days later and still no reply.
It's seems a shame that such a positive start, should go quickly downhill when things are not going so smooth. All I asked was a reply to my enquiry, but it seems heads are very firmly in the sand.
Has anybody else problems with Chef's Vapour not responding to messages?
