My MVP which I have had since I started vapeing nearly 9 months ago started buggering about a few weeks back. Not reading ohms correctly or shorting out if Atty was to tight. The 510 on it has been a pain in the rear from day dot. So finally thought buggerit I'll sort this. Got a varitube a like 510 spring loaded connector. Unfortunately the top disc was way to big so I mounted the 510 body onto a bolt and tightened it up. Stuffed it in my drill and attacked it with a file at 300 rpm lol. Took it down by 5.5 mm . Had to grind a fair bit of surplus metal from the bracket under the lid. Soldered it all bk together And added a bit of epoxy to make sure that it would not come loose. Hey presto one perfectly working MVP. Tbh its working better than it ever did. It always felt like it had no oomph, hence it got used as an expensive coil tester. But now its preforming admirably.

Think I might have to try something like this with mine at some point. Not had any specific problems with the connector on it, I've always been really careful when screwing atties on and off. But since getting into mechs and rba's I've found nothing hits hard enough on the mvp. Even if I screw a kayfun or similar on it doesn't give enough oomph at full power... Just found it interesting what you said about getting a better vape off it after this modification. Looks much better with a recessed 510 on it. Good job!

I was thinking earlier today if anyone has an MVP that they want the 510 swapping over to a sprung one. If you pay postage and provide the 510 I'll happily do them for you. Its only a 30 min job to do them.
