I use the subtank mini, subtank, and kayfun 4 Tobeco clone, and haven't experienced any cracking with the following [will include mini review too] ... Vanilla custard ... really nice rich flavour Strawberry custard ... lovely; just the right amount of strawberry and custard Banana & strawberry custard ... nice with the added banana Strawberry ice cream ... one of my top ADV's; really refreshing Lemon cheesecake ... out of this world, lol ... lovely sweetness Skittles ... very nice Maltesers ... lovely; caught the flavour exactly Banana custard ... often an ADV, great balance Clotted cream fudge ... perfect flavouring, rich, really nice Blackcurrant ... powerful sweetness Toffee ... pleasant; this is one of the two I wished were a little sweeter and stronger Watermelon ... lovely, plus wish this were sweeter/stronger too Chocolate orange ... perfect, really nice Chocolate I haven't vaped yet. It's a month old, but not very chocolatey, so I think it needs longer, like custards do? Juices get treated to a little spa now, lol [ultrasonic] so am seeing what happens with that, yay, but just to ask if the chocolate does take longer than the other flavours. Apple Crumble with Cinnamon I'm about to vape plus many more to order soon, now the devices and stuff are paid for, lol. Great that you're getting a bigger place, DripDrop Vapour ... congratulations! I'm one of those who find most of the flavours strong enough, and my tongue seems to stop tasting things every day at some point, lol, but I too would pay more if there was the option to add eg 10%/20% more flavour ... just a vote for if and when that becomes possible.

lol haha! yes, can't wait to order What's your fave DDV vape? So far, Blackcurrant & Liquorice . . . . although I've another 6 flavours yet to try, I'm one of those dreadful people who can wait weeks if not months before I test out eliquid. Can't bear having loads of partly used bottles hanging about and it does make everything very well steeped by the time I use it. I haven't tried that one yet; glad you like it. Plenty to try as well, and nothing wrong with waiting and tidiness

the protection on the mod stop the batts going poof dry cotton and ell mucho heat = lol haha, that makes a lot of sense. With reading about the memory thing it does about the tank, I'd thought it had an inbuilt firefighter too, as well as make me a cup of tea. Oh well, one day there'll be the dream mod, lol.

The lemon cheesecake smells lovely. Waiting for my Isub tank to arrive and I'll give it a blast. Hopefully being lemon it wont crack the plastic tank Hope it doesn't crack your tank, drunkenbum! Sure you'll love vaping it. I'm using Kayfun 4 clone (from myepack), plus Subtank Mini is great. Kayfun even more flavour; lemon cheesecake's in that now.

Flames? How did you manage that? My every day normal build on my RDA's is 8 wraps of 0.4mm kanthal round a 2.5mm mandrel, a dual coil build comes out at between 0.4 and 0.5 ohms, depends on the atty a bit but at 50w on the atty i'm using right now it's not even a warm vape. Thanks Get Off My Cloud Wick certainly had a lot of dry patches, when I blew the flames out and investigated, lol, so I'm sure it was me not using enough juice. Your build sounds great; will definitely refer back to this thread/your specs when come to have a go at the RDA again. What's surprising me most right now is that the Sigelei 150w let this happen; I thought it had safety features, or is that only if you use protected batteries? If so, are there protected Samsung 25r's available?

I think the famous blue screwdriver is 2.5mm in diameter usually, I think you were on the right track with the setup, its just that its better to have the coils setup with the further holes so they can be more centered and also not cause any overlap, any kind of overlapping on the coil can cause the resistance to jump all over and usually the main way a flame can happen on the coil/cotton is when it dries out way too much and has high watts going through, just make sure theres always plenty of juice on the coil and cotton. Those really thick wires such as 22awg are crazy sometimes, they take a fair bit of wattage to even make any heat and they retain heat too, like a small cooker lol You can get higher resistance with 22awg and similar but that'll require many wraps and I found when I tried that, it was better to use thinner wire and less wraps overall. If one coil is heating up faster than the other too even after some prodding of the coils it usually means the coil is not the same size or if theres overlapping then the resistance is different. Thanks vapee Great advice. Definitely noticed that parts of the wick were very dry. Just recoiled Kayfun, single coil, 0.5, and did extra soaking of juice, for sure, lol. Flames can't happen if every post, screw, and inch of the coil/cotton is saturated, yes? Used 24awg. Thanks for info on wrapping. It's definitely a fine art!

Thanks kreed and aaront903 Finding 0.5 on kayfun 4 at 35/40 watts is lovely, and, agree, definitely wizard.

brain's caving in, lol *ha ha*Waiting for coil kit, as only using 3mm blue screwdriver at moment. owww hark at you all posh with a blue screwdriver go pound shop get a set of them small screwdrivers for to wrap diff size coils and use on attys small sprung loaded pliers for to swese the coil and bending legs tweaser set pref with the reverse sprung tweezers in as they are awesome for torching coils small side cuts (nail clippers on steroids) for to cut wire and your ready to rock lol lol haha, am all airs and graces Great idea re £shop. Got some pliers, tweezers and clippers, but have various little pointy things arriving from FT soon, to cut fiddly stuff, etc.

Okay, set it all up, took a couple of chuffs, not good. Took casing off, fired it. Flames. No more, lol. Back to my supersafe Kayfun 4 and some lemon cheesecake. Thanks so much for advice; learnt and practiced more, so that's cool, but have definitely learnt to stick with basic building on rta for now.

its coming out at the right ohms because your using 2X .5 coils so the resistance is halved so it should be .25 ohms your not setting the coils up quite right as you want the coil in the middle use the other positive post and leave a longer leg on the neg(will need to bend it to shape before fitting) best pic i could find but you should be able to see what i mean(ues a hole miss a hole use a hole) make sure the coils are lev with the air holes in the top cap(hold them side by side to check ;p) check for the glowing from center and tweak with tweezers till happy wicking is use as much as you like but trim it so it rests on the deck ,dont stuff it under the coil as this restricts air flow juice up and enjoy just to be clear because your using 2 coils there resistance is halved 2x .5 ohm coils =.25 ohms 2x 1.0 ohm coils=.5 ohms 2x1.5 ohm coils =.75 ohms ect hope that helps perfect decoy Thanks! Doing that now. Not sure how to get a 1.0 coil, as, when I change details in ref chart, it says 18 wraps.

It looks like you've put the coils in posts 1+2 & 3+4 when they should be in 1+3 and 2+4 so that the coils are in front of the holes - this is not be helping the heat situation. Ohms that low need a ton of airflow to cool the vape, as others have already stated you might try starting at higher ohms cos the questions that you are asking indicate that you don't know what you are doing. Sorry to be blunt but it's better that than lose some fingers. Don't go anywhere near the 22AWG, you'll be at seriously low ohms and the dangers increase rapidly nearer the super sub-ohm levels. The airflow NEEDS to be fully open at these resistance levels or the vape will be like lava, especially if airflow isn't set correctly. Wicking needs to be right, not too tight, not too loose and don't expect to be taking long inhales any time soon, short sharp bursts until you get used to it. IMO the CLT is an advanced cloud chasing RDA and not suitable for first time users but as long as you're utilising safe battery practises then it'll juts be a case of a bit of tweaking and getting used to it. Thanks *-SARIN-* Sorry, answers are crossing over, as I'm not reading down first. No problem; appreciate advice. Going to rebuild now using 1/3, 2/4 (had followed a vid, eek), and avoid 22awg, keep airflow fully open, and sort about the heatsink. Will ensure wicking better too and stick to short inhales. Using the Sigelei 150w, max at 40w, so am glad it has the inbuilt protection, plus using Samsung 25r's. Love the Kayfun 4 clone best, but great to learn stuff now via RDA too, as long as keep safe, definitely.
