Blowing isn't good kittyvape. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/30yfTjP3QPippj7hX3wK.gif) There's a video and review here on using a 306 atomiser, the most common mistakes people make with dripping on any atomiser, is either flooding or not dripping enough eliquid on to the coil. It takes just a little practise to get the balance right . . . but it isn't difficult. www.honestecigarettereviews.com/joye-306-atomizer-review.htmlThanks Perpetua ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) Will get reading and watching! And, lol, yes, no more blow ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/30yfTjP3QPippj7hX3wK.gif)

What's the difference between low and standard resistance? and standard and lined tips? Lined is a bit less spitty too? Great to have a cheaper easier way of flavour testing; would never have known about this otherwise ... appreciate. ![*thumb up*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/p7M85rCnldUVnmPyh4AT.gif) I'd go for standard resistance myself, low resistance was useful back in the days when we didn't have Variable Wattage/Voltage devices - they compensate now, by being able to tweak the settings you vape at. Although, if you try and push to much power through atomisers like these, then you'll blow them - so start low. I'd try the ACRYLIC VERSICOLOUR drip tips - you'll likely find them a better fit. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Thank you Perpetua ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) Great to know exactly what to get, and will be sure to start low. Definitely don't want to blow them. ![smilierun](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/DNJW58NTIFLEJmMRjeh0.gif)

Hiya ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) 3 weeks into vaping, 2 weeks of no stinkies ... best thing ever ![*cheer*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/jr0EmJgDeO7__MAi4uuR.gif) and can't stand even tobacco smell. Tasted various flavours, and even mixed my own boston mud pie. Exciting journey, and at this point have settled on the awesome iStick 50w [plus Nano], plus got the mini [and Aerotank] to stand in when charging the 50w. A subtank mini and 306 stuff will be added shortly, but today received these 2 drip tips from L & T, and they're great, along with a little cadbury's egg, which is lovely. Thanks too to everyone for advice; really appreciate. ![iStick 50w and iStick mini 10w](http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y414/CatMcFarlane/2015-04-11%2011.35.46_zpsbyt1o4zk.jpg)

Note to self; slow down! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/rd3a3XzcKcp6Cp8mA_6q.gif) Good plan. ![*thumb up*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/p7M85rCnldUVnmPyh4AT.gif) The 306 dripper and tip sound really good; are they 510 thread, and which choices should I select (for iStick 50w)? Thanks! They'll be compatible with your devices . . . and I'd go for the bridged version as the unbridged can be a little spitty, especially if you blast the heck out of them Kitty. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Thanks Perpetua ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) and, lol, yes, definitely a good plan. Thank you about the details; don't want no spitty stuff ... already got juice in my eye for the 2nd time this morning, lol (blowing thru a tank after washing). ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/rd3a3XzcKcp6Cp8mA_6q.gif) What's the difference between low and standard resistance? and standard and lined tips? Ideally @kittyvapeyou need to store all vaping liquids, juice and mixing ingredients, in a cool dark place out of the light. Nicotine base in particular will degrade over time, but this is years not days, and generally the other ingredients fare better stored in a cool place. I keep my concentrates in a plastic box under the bed, and my bases in a plastic tub in the bottom of the wardrobe. Mint and fruit flavours will be good to vape after a week or so of steeping, more complex dessert flavours like custards etc. need at least a month and ideally longer before they are really ready to vape. Thanks chykensa ![*thumb up*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/p7M85rCnldUVnmPyh4AT.gif) Very relieved to hear the nic etc degrade very slowly. Will definitely start storing things correctly, and thanks for advice about flavours too. Look forward to ![cauldron-smiley](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/_NvCD5NDWJqoTQP0JKbG.gif) and (note to self: patient!) steeping ![icon_relax](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/o_G9xTkRpw2VD9DhVCY8.gif) Thanks again.

Kitty many members use bicarb mixed with water to de flavour tanks, denture tablets and Milton mixed up work quite well . But you will never totally de smell them particularly from a really strong menthol, mint Thanks igual ![*thumb up*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/p7M85rCnldUVnmPyh4AT.gif) The Milton sounds particularly good; 15 minutes soak is great. Thanks for advice; will make sure keep one tank for the stronger mint/menthol, and that keep similar types together generally. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Kitty, as you have ordered some new coils for your nano and sound like you are going to get into rebuilding at some stage, I would (if you can afford it) get a SUBTANK mini. The mini comes with a rebuildable deck. It's the easiest rebuildable I've ever used and far easier than rebuilding the stock coils. With a good coil in it, you can swap and change flavours easily by just changing the wick and giving the coil a quick dry burn. Thanks bluemagnum ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) I actually had bookmarked the subtank mini lastnight as next purchase, although for the 4.5 ml reason ... now I realise it also includes ability to easily rebuild, that's a sale. ![*cheer*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/jr0EmJgDeO7__MAi4uuR.gif) Thanks for advising it. Sounds great to just change wicks per flavour!

Warm soapy water dip, dry, leave is what everyone mainly does? I don't bother doing anything between flavour changes . . . just vape through them kittyvape. An overnight soak in some Bicarbonate of Soda is a better way to clean heads - although strong flavours are better in a dedicated tank, as has been said. 306 drippers are a good way of testing new flavours: www.vapingthings.com/306_BRIDGED__BRIDGELESS_DRIPPING_ATOMISER/p1311952_7045908.aspxYou'll just need a 306 specific drip tip: www.vapingthings.com/306_DRIP_TIPS/cat1311953_1614574.aspx My own first mix is boston mud pie and that seems okay [but is the one that's dropped in flavour as soon as I switched to 0.5 coil), but did a couple of new mixes today (double chocolate mint, and cinnamon coffee cake, all Capella) and keep getting 'off' tastes in the 2 Aerotanks. As spacey has said, unless you give your mixes some time to steep . . . then they aren't going to taste very nice in anything that you use. If you'll forgive me saying, you're trying to do too much, to quickly - without having quite got to grips with what you're doing. Take your time a little more maybe? Thanks Perpetua ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) No worries ... wise words; I really should take my time more. A mixture of excited and adapting from 'just lighting up', lol. I've noted the Milton and bicarb at Tesco; the Milton sounds particularly good. The 306 dripper and tip sound really good; are they 510 thread, and which choices should I select (for iStick 50w)? Thanks!

Thanks tim ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) Various stronger fruits mainly eg blueberry, sasparella I can still smell after washing. My own first mix is boston mud pie and that seems okay [but is the one that's dropped in flavour as soon as I switched to 0.5 coil), but did a couple of new mixes today (double chocolate mint, and cinnamon coffee cake, all Capella) and keep getting 'off' tastes in the 2 Aerotanks. (Was trying not to have to empty out the Nano just yet.) Thanks for the clear explanation. So with the 0.5 I would be needing to switch the watts down anyway? But it should be the same strong flavour? Sorry, in some areas get a total brain-tizzy, lol. Hi kittyvape ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) This may or may not be a contributing factor, but if you only made the new mixes today they could well be tasting 'off' as not had any steeping time. Go back to them in a week and see if they taste any better ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Thanks spacey ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) You could well be right, eek. With the first mix (boston mud pie) tasting so great immediately, I'd just powered on with 2 more flavours. I'd even been wondering if my PG, VG, nic had gone off, lol, as it's been roasting the last couple of days. Heaters off now. Can't be good for juices/PG etc to be in a really hot room. Note to self; slow down! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/rd3a3XzcKcp6Cp8mA_6q.gif)

I have just read thatguy's post and I am not a sub-tank owner he has pointed out the wattage the various coil options are optimised to. This is want I was meaning by the physical size making a difference and while what I said is correct in the general sense. The higher power/lower ohms ones suite a fuller/faster lung inhale style of vaping which needs more heating power, what I wrote applies if you inhaled at a reasonable consistent rate. Making this sound more complicated, but watts are just heating power, bigger coils (lower ohms) on the sub tank are optimised for faster lung inhales, smaller (higher ohms) for more normal mouth to lung inhales. Don't worry too much the general rule is start with the watts lowish and increase to taste. A coil can be built to any ohms you wish. It only needs to be matched to the watts. Whatever you want can be made. Edit: Battery permitting. That's a different issue. Be safe
Thanks tim ![*thumb up*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/p7M85rCnldUVnmPyh4AT.gif) That's great. Glad the iStick does the decisions, lol, as being such a newb I'd not let myself loose near anything needing instructions. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/rd3a3XzcKcp6Cp8mA_6q.gif)

Thanks VapingBad ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) Same watts between different coils ... thanks for nice clear explanation. Might I have hit a bad coil? that would be odd for that to happen with Kanger? This one really does taste a bit 'off', and I can't imagine I got vaper's tongue the second I swapped coils, lol. Testing the 1.2 back in just now, although not sure if that one had burnt out (such a newb). I have just read thatguy's post and I am not a sub-tank owner he has pointed out the wattage the various coil options are optimised to. Thanks VapingBad ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Have put the (possibly failing after 10 days) 1.5 back in [total newb so am unsure if 10 days is usual] and the taste is at least better than the 0.5 plus have added 2 drops of concentrate to beef it up. Ordered some 1.2's from myetech. Don't really do lung inhales (yet) ... like the hotter stronger flavour most of all, and that gets my throat/lungs a bit much at the moment. Got the istick 50w for battery length more, as was being driven mad by charging e-cigs every 2 hours, lol. Thanks for explaining. ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif)

Thanks tim The guide is great; I followed up until part way through, then my brain vapourised lol. One day ... in the meantime, it's great that I can ask here. Thank you very much. ![*cheers*](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/Vx6QECqQADBpqG6ddJje.gif) I've just ordered some 1.2's from myetech, and am using the old 1.2 I'd removed, at 34w, same as yesterday, as that tastes better than the 0.5 while I'm waiting for the myetech order. Maybe the 1.2's on the way out a bit; about 10 days I think. Definitely prefer the 1.2 warmer richer flavour.

As the ohms go down, you need more watts/volts. I don't know what your gear is (mod/atty) so need more info. The thing is, all tanks/atty's taste different at any given watts. It's hard to recommend a set watts/ohms for you. I really is a test of what you like. If the flavour is coming from what you used in the tank before, you need to change your atomiser or re-wick it.Re-wickink is easy usually. just ask for a guide. Or someone here will do it for you for the cost of postage. Thanks tim ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Appreciate being able to ask; great to learn. Using iStick 50w and Kanger Nano mainly. Can the Nano coils be re-wicked? Thanks that I could ask for guidance or someone would do it; that's really cool.
