jtcfair enough, in the dripper I run them around 50w in the crius between 30 and 45 watts in the crown no more than 35w and in the subtanks no more than 30w, it might be that my choice of wick isn't up to the job but I think its got a lot more to do with how the wicking works through the tiny wick holes and the airflow rate than it does the type of cotton used. I say that having used puff bacon and muji as wick material in all 3 types of tank and all had the same problems at around the same power levels, otoh the tfv4 premade coils ran at 80w but the dual Clapton coil rba unit couldn't handle much above 50w again its down to the lack of wick holes imho

Crown and any of the griffin style tanks. Tfv4 with the quad claptons, aromamizer. There are tank options that give good flavor. On the rebuildable side of things a clapton build really brings it to the same level or very close! Yes I really should try a clapton. Ive got some on a slow boat coming Hopefully be here before the weekend to go in my new tanks pre made Clapton coils or just ready made wire ? I bought some pre made Clapton coils in the FT sale back in Feb i tired one in the crown RBA head but it didn't fit, happily i was able to coil my own out of the Clapton wire and that fits fine, oh and the pre made ones fit in both my madhatter RDA and the crius so if i get lazy they wont go to waste

I have a son and he was called luke instead of the previously agreed name when in the delivery room i won the argument with the phrase "i am your father" to howls of laughter from the operating staff and my OH through tear filled eyes agreed it should be so ......

no great surprise that they followed the same rabid moon howler position of the EC's commissioner for health that the regulations don't go far enough and everyone should be thankful for the "light touch approach to harmonisation of the law(s) within the internal market"
that they totally fail to account for the disparity between regulatory approaches for tobacco and its alternatives leaves the ground open for challenge but its unlikely that it will be, what's amusing though is that they lumped 3 challenges into one case and then ignored the grounds for one of the challenges by obfuscating it then claiming it had no merit.......
in a few more weeks we will see just how rabid the moon howler in chief is when he takes various countries to court for not implementing the TPD which will in turn cause the fracturing of the union as anti EU sentiment increases rapidly, or they will take the line indicated by Donald tusk in which case they will fail to enforce the TPD in those 20 countries (as it currently stands) indicating those who did implement it should repeal it immediately without penalty ....

I have the same problem with a kanger subtank I ordered from FT, it sits proud on all of my mods, yet the other 3 subtanks I have don't have the same problem (all from GB)
I rather suspect the afc's are made with the thread a few mils longer ready for sale in a different market, its an old trick that companies used to use a lot to prevent people buying stuff in one country and getting for half the price there shops charging in another (making it not fit) so whilst were buying cheap product from china (where its made) it might have been the "wrong pallet of goods" there flogging ....
anyhow its easy to fix with an adaptor or a heat sink or a washer

Sorry you're having these problems nanotm Personally I've had it with tc on anything, even the dna200. I'm loving ss in normal power mode now with no hassle at all. I can't believe I've finally caved but yup tc can take a hike I'm done well TC was nice when it worked but the ni200 coils would leach far to much regardless of the temperature and I was barely getting 2 refills through before I had to change them out, the ss316l works great on a couple of mods but not others, I like the koopor plus mod and with Clapton coils its great in power mode it just doesn't seem to work with ss coils .... domejunkythanks for the offer I might take you up on it once the time comes to repair one of the mods at some point down the road if koopor actually produces firmware for it

yeah that's pretty much the issue, its a lot worse if you had primed the wick since the juice burns off before the wick catchs fire ..... it also does the same thing (erupts into flames) in power mode when fitted with a ss coil, there must be a feedback problem that stops limiting from working properly because it seems like its pulsing 200w through the ss coil regardless of settings.......
it doesn't do it in ni200 tc mode though that works the same as any other mod ive tried it in ....
either as you say its a duff batch of plus mods or its dodgy firmware, I rather suspect that's why smok created a whole new spin off company rather than carrying their brand openly on the koopor mod ...
stupid thing is they locked out the ability to upgrade the firmware to needing to be sent back to the factory or buying an upgrade link device, oh well the power mode works on a1 (of which I have lots) oh well I don't suppose it will last that long before it needs repairs and then I might investigate exactl what the problem is /

yorkshiremanthat's why only the alert aircraft have permission to drop a boom below 1000ft, that fella should be glad they were high enough to only trash his greenhouse if they had been nap of the earth the sound would flatten houses .... there was a video on YouTube of a pair of typhoons going supersonic as they came off the runway (about 15 ft off the ground) and the end of the runway disintegrates along with a hedgerow fence line and several trees, particularly when you have the second aircraft doing the same thing a second later and amplifying the noise created by the first making it orders of magnitude more powerful than the noise created by a loan aircraft.... still I'd rather know they were doing their job on time and preventing a mass casualty situation than have my greenhouse intact because they went slower and failed to prevent something, as with most things its a trade off between total safety or minor damage and minimal losses/

good to hear you got seen to, hope it improves rapidly now you've been given antibiotics, oh and buy some hayfever tablets (if you don't already have some) since chest infections can sometimes be viral and they give a nasty reaction to antibiotics which the hayfever meds stop you from raking your skin off...

so I have tried using ss317L & 316L in tc mode on the koopor mod and every time I push the fire button it takes half a second before the juice is flaming, if the wick runs dry then that turns to ash as well
has anyone managed ot use that mod in tc mode with anything other than ni200 and not have it set the juice /wick on fire ?
it works well enough in power mode on A1 but when I tried an SS coil in power mode it set the juice on fire, any ideas on how to get it working with SS or is it just a dead duck in that regard ?

Any suggestions tried 3 new coils from different batches and various mods. Firing but no vape! it might be that this part is missing or damaged www.vapers-e-sense.co.uk/product/nautilus%20connection%20ringits the centre pin in the base of the Air Flow Conector the other option is the centre pin in the mod's 510 connecter if its the pin in the mod then try jiggling it with a mini screwdriver or paper clip (switch off the mod first or if you can remove the battery) you don't mention what mod your trying to run it on so its harder to be more specific, if you can try adding pictures of your kit maybe something obvious will leap out

I had problems with stock coils and rba's that randomly leak midway though using them, I suspect what happens is a change in air pressure causes a capillary action on the juice in the wick that makes it drop through the airflow hole and into the afc base, at first I thought it was happening totally randomly and then stopped happening and then I noticed it was occurring as rapid mb shifts were occurring (desktop weather station that records such things)
next tiem you notice its happened tip the atty over a piece of paper towel (or similar) cover any secondary air aholes with the cloth and the drip tip then blow through the primary air hole, normally this clears the problem for me and also stops the syphon effect in the tank
worst tank for the problem was actually the TFV4, it would eject the entire tank full every time there was a pressure change unless I left it sat upside down on the desk ....

its always amazing that the buffoons in "control" keep tripping over their own lies in order to try and prove a point.......
the sooner the governments of the world wake up from their collective bewitched state and start ignoring such moon howlers the better

@tmfkatubthumper
but without them at the top of the table who pays for the next jet set of celebrities, society here is not as fair as it could be but its not as unfair as it is in other places, you clearly despise anyone who gains cash or influence through being popular, yet fail to notice celebrities have always existed in every cultrure be it the witch doctor in a tribe or the oppressor in chief in a communist country they are all celebrities, every hero or villan is a celebrity every leader in every country is a celebrity, the more popular ones remain at or near the top those that slide down the totem either disappear into obscurity or finish with an iron overdose throughout history, the trick has always been to keep enough people on side to avoid the slide.
the royals are important as personifying the pinicle of that society holding it to a level of decorum and setting the standard of acceptability, those who fail to remember their duty end up dethroned (as is currently starting to happen in spain and happened in various other parts including france) if you remove the gold standard from society you end up like Russia or china (both of which toppled their royals and ended up in obscurity and isolation from the rest of the world because they couldn't conform with accepted wider rules)
you don't have to like the people at the top but understanding they fulfil several roles both obvious and not so obvious is key before determining if they should be displaced or not, Cromwell made a mistake when he rid the country of the monarch during the revolution, a mistake he only realised after more than a decade in charge and then his pride prevented him from correcting that mistake until he was himself deposed and the king brought back to the table (although he wasn't fit to rule and should have been killed much earlier in the whole process) the secret has always been ensuring the person at the top doesn't want the job, anyone elected to the top spot will be craving the power and that pretty much always means there not fit to rule...
before St Teflon B'liar removed their capacity to prevent it they acted as a handbreak for dangerous disruptive or destabilising legislation by simply refusing to sign it off, he stopped short of deposing the crown though because even the craven power hungry fool he was he knew his life expectancy would shorten considerably should he take that final step ...
as with anything no system is perfect but before new labour it was a lot fairer than it currently is, the people in power took the long term view rather than the short term stop gap measures and things were generally a lot fairer with equal chance for those at the bottom to rise or those at the top to fall, now the only way is up and the system has been broken and desperately needs fixing, the royals have been dragged down to common celebrity status in many respects and uncaring unelected dolts have been elevated to an almost even position by an increasingly poor poorly educated public, decades of refusing to insist on proper values in the class room and feeding increasing numbers with mindless drivel on the goggle box has had a nasty effect, coupled with tv dinners and convenience food pumped full of brain dulling chemicals its taken a terrible toll on society at large.....
