I just don't get the need to rush like lemmings to spend even more money! Crazy. because now is the best time of year to start buying for the coming year's worth of pressies, so far I have the wrapping paper gift tags tape and stickers finished, I have managed to grab a bunch of random stocking fillers and replaced a few dowdy looking decorations ready for the loft until next needed, I will start grabbing items to put into the haul for my family as well, birthday season starts in a couple of weeks so why pay over the odds by waiting till later on when I can grab a bargain now and put it aside for when needed ? so far I have spent a total of 4 hours shopping since xmass eve (spent more time reading on here than shopping) and have managed to spot several more things I might want to bag if the price goes low enough or I get a coupon code sent to me for them. I cant honestly understand the reticence some people show towards getting things organised ahead of schedule, and besides if I don't find the stuff when its cheap the OH will only go and pay highstreet icon_shoppingm for it later in the year, she doesn't do the interwebz unless I send her the links maybe that's becasue I don't give her the passwords to all the shopping accounts but then again she would only when the prices were too high for her likeing or the postage time was too long

@nursemorph great news, on both the gear and success fronts, I would suggest that gearbest website has some incredible deals on at the moment (although it might be a 2>3 week wait to get the stuff) mini natui tank for £13 subtank nano and rba head some bits ship from china some from the EU warehouse, but for price they often cant be beaten and certainly faster to arrive than fastech so long as they actually have the kit in stock (that's a whole other issue) but potentially big savings over other suppliers if the wait istn a big issue, also spare istick 30w although this unit has some better options and costs a quid or so less dovpo forever30w which will be better if you do go down the RBA route and decide to play with ni200 coils certainly I have all of those and the VVTF rba for the nauti the last bit is on ebay though but it works really well once you get the right wire and the right tools for making the coils, have ot say I much prefer the vape quality out of the rba's to the stock heads and the work out a hell of a lot cheaper especialy if you get your wire from stealth vapes ( 75meters for £9) they do other types /awg's just click through their shop, seems like the cheapest for the length though for good quality wire as for the wicks get whatever you like I went with muji sheets so I could build to suit my needs others have their own preferred wick material. in terms of saving money the RBA coil decks are probably the biggest area where you can save cash long term, and something that's really simple to do once you watch a video or two, I don't even bother dry burning them like the show on the vids just wrap em fit em wick em add a few drops of e-juice and stick into the tank leave for a few minutes and then start chugging away

aside from the type of coils evolving I don't really see much difference between the different tanks from a usability or aesthetic point of view, now I haven't tried any (although I am seriously considering the tfv4 for the easy fill option) and well battery boxes will always get better with time, kind of surprised nobody had bothered to build a li-po unit with double the power output and half the size of a li-on unit but i'm sure such things will come in the future. There's tons of new innovations. Different types of juice flow, juice flow control, top filling, air flow direct to the coils, extra drip tip air flow. Things like the Haze dripper tank which is an RDA with a large juice well that acts as a tank etc. It's constantly evolving. wicks provide flow control. pack it tight for low flow leave it loose for high flow...... air holes in drip tips are just an excuse to jet hot blobs onto everything in the vicinity and airflow has always gone through the coil. the only real innovation was putting the fill hole at the top of the tank instead of needing to completely disassemble the thing to fill it up.... the rest is just marketing hype to sell more gear to those who didn't realise how it should work.... if they managed to make a tank that even a muppet could assemble without a single leak problem that would be an innovation, the rba deck for the nautilus was an innovation (I would of preferred it had post holes rather than wrap arounds though) the vast majority of whats on the market is just the same thing from a different company with differing Q-A standards, the dovpo forever 30 mod is basically a 30w istick but it also does tc and coils down to 0.09ohms, I like it and will use it for the ni200 coils I build in the nautilus, sure I have just splurged in the post xmas sales at various places and look forwards to trying out all my kit in the year ahead but I don't expect to be buying anything other than juice for the next few years unless something suffers an accident, which I suspect is the same thing for a lot of people, I plan on my non smoking habit costing me less than than my smoking habit did, if I add up the spending thus far over the same period last year when I smoked it works out roughly equal, the difference is that was only for 4 months consumption and what I have now should last at least another 12 months with close to zero outlay. but I also understand the drive some people have to always try the newest best thing, and perhaps if had a different outlook I too would be similarly driven to try out new things more often

I was under the impression that Iowa was in the USA not Canada, and that letter flies in the face of what he signed up to back in 2013 www.iowaattorneygeneral.gov/media/cms/E_Cigarette_Final_Letter_C2C5AE76FAEB3.pdf when he begged the FDA to take action to regulate e-cigs and ban the use of flavours in e-juice that kids might find attractive.... still if its genuine at least it would suggest he had finally woken up to the reality that the fairy tail pushers in the tobacco industry and its protectors in the tobacco control industry are just attempting to fireproof their own jobs for the next decade ..... would be a much better link if it had the complete document rather than just page 1 and had appeared on the news links rather than being hidden in a non navigable page /

too many of us grew up in the time when shops were closed from lunchtime on xmass eve until the day after new years so we always stock up on stuff for the festive period, I know even when I was younger that the only places open were garages for nearly a week, and even they had short opening hours. I hate shopping, always have done but perhaps weirdly I love going to open air markets and getting to try before you buy I do 90% of my shopping online and have done for a long time, the other 10% is either done at the market or in a second hand shop which is located next to the pub I use for lunch I can also say I have never been shopping anywhere between Christmas eve and the 1st (and then only if the booze was running low) this year I think will be the first time a member of my family has left the house in the last 5 years during that period (one of the teenagers needed to take a Christmas pressie to the shop it came from since it was defective) and despite being a traditional "shopper" she was horrified at the sheer mass of people on boxing day.... I think its a crime so much of our traditional society has been eroded in the constant drive to eradicate our core values and shops like everything else should be closed from the 24th until the 2nd (with the exception being department stores that were always allowed the boxing day sale from 9am until 12 on boxing day) of course that would necessitate all those shops and such to put their staff back on salaries and pay overtime instead of basic hourly wage rates, but then that's how things used to be done back when people were properly paid and looked after by their employers instead of being flogged to death by some corporation chasing the bottom line !

Perhaps you're still in the honeymoon period, we've all been there. Bit like a kid in a sweet shop I don't think so. I'm just a bit of a technology geek. I enjoy the evolution of technology and like to use the latest innovations. aside from the type of coils evolving I don't really see much difference between the different tanks from a usability or aesthetic point of view, now I haven't tried any (although I am seriously considering the tfv4 for the easy fill option) and well battery boxes will always get better with time, kind of surprised nobody had bothered to build a li-po unit with double the power output and half the size of a li-on unit but i'm sure such things will come in the future.

well it happens a lot in the past where the danger is that the defences will be overwhelmed and become inoperable they lift the barriers, the real problem is that the barrier was down at all when it was clearly never going to be of any use, had it remained open the entire time there would of been no sudden tidal wave surging through greatly increasing the dangers and damage the area would have just gently flooded, and likely to a much lesser extent.
the EA has spent since 98 telling the country that the waterways are self scouring or its too expensive to dredge, yet they spanked hundreds of millions on ineffective flood defences and have caused the majority of the problems by allowing building on flood plains diverting watercourses and creating new flood zones where none had previously existed, then they did away with all the old pump houses (the things used to flood farmland rather than houses) and petitioned the EU to pass laws banning dredging all the while increasing their running costs day to day and grabbing more public funds to do nothing but harm homes with.....
I remember the EA spent 20 million building a tidal barrier on a river back in the late 80's to prevent tidal surges laying waste to homes and business's, 18 years later they pulled it down as it hadn't been needed (at a cost of another 20 million) and 6 months later the area flooded, the tidal surge destroyed 200 buildings and wiped out 30 businesses, the answer was to replace the old tidal barrier with a new bigger one at a cost of another 60 million, all that had been needed was a motor replacing at a cost of £50k ...... had they bothered to have dredged the rivers in the area the barrier probably wouldn't of ben needed either way ....
they have done the same thing in the north of the country, wasted hundreds of millions doing nothing good instead of doing what everyone knows is necessary and doing it routinely to protect the nation, the only way this event could of been ok would be if all the flooding had centred on bradistan /

Bluefishyeah and now they realised the flood barriers are useless because the buildings didn't get maintained for years just like the rivers didn't get dredged its getting worse, I hope people are safe in those areas, its never nice to get cut off in the floods although I used to enjoy fields that got flooded then froze in my youth I cant help but feel sorry for those getting washed out at this time of year.

well I watched the queens speech on catchup and then I went back to the port before collapsing into my bed after such a rude awakening at 0400 only 2 hours after santa visited the children (damn wrapping always keeps me up late) ....
one year I will take a nap on xmass eve so i'm ready for the inevitable silly clock wake up with overexcited offspring sharing details of what was in their stocking...... and I might even manage to get all the presssies wrapped up a few weeks ahead of schedule to boot, but every year I plan to do all that and every year something stops me (normally the kids) from achieving those megre goals ....
I feel the TV on the terrestrial channels has been generally poor for many years though
