Postmodern Smokingthanks for that I did listen to it earlier and found it quite illuminating as to the flavour of thoughts in the chamber and the support the vaping cause in general is receiving there one thing I do take issue with though is the constant drone about "long term consequences" being unknown, the long term effects of smoking were known within the first decade of wide spread use (massive increase in the number of cancers and coronary diseases in those who smoked compared to those that did not) but it wasn't published for another 60 years by an official body and that was only done to take the heat away from car exhaust fumes which cause vastly more damage to the human body but its far more convenient to hide that.... if vaping is to pass the test of time will it also take 70 years of widespread use before any official reports on long term effects are similarly published either way or is the precautionary principal of lying to the public about everything going to pervade our culture from those who are supposed to be working to the greater good before they admit the anecdotal evidence is right and the dangers are from burning any form of chemical sludge in vastly worse for people than inhaling a few relatively benign vapours from a pvd not only doesn't cause damage in the same category as "street air" and in fact protects against some of its damages.... (if your wondering about the last part, the NHS uses a pg/vg suspension based emulsion inhaler to protect people against certain types of histemic reactants after 70 years of studying the safety of them and the drug companies finally realising a mixture of pg/vg after the rise of e-cigs is the best delivery medium having wasted billions in R&D on the subject)

anon4 yeah i'm just lazy so I dislike having to remove the gauze separately to dry it off, find it much simpler when the gauze is part of the drip tip or its one of those delrin anti spit shield ones besides I tend to chain vape although not as bad as when I used to chain smoke for the old lungs or for people around me lol

I think utilizing some pipe gauze like aspires coils might work too to a degree it does, but they clog up way to fast so instead of needing to rinse out a couple of drip tips twice a day I found myself dabbing through the drip tip with some kitchen roll several times an hour... maybe I vape to much but I doubt i'm the only one who's found similar problems

Or have a go at rebuilding the stock coils easy peasy They spit like feck unless you seriously jam some cotton in there though ahh but that's what you get angled or anti spit drip tips for ... I don't have a single kit I don't use one or the other on, mainly cos I hate hot liquid spitting in ma gob and I have yet to use either a stock or home made coil that doesn't spit at least once every time I pick it up to use it from cold....

perhaps a stupid question but did you lock the power to the resistance and lock the resistance of the coil ?
I seem to recall doing that on a mod in the past and seeing the watts jump around as the thing changed values
if its not that then it might be buggy mod and nothing to do with the atty/

erik514 early filters were made out of asbestos or Macroporous phenol-formaldehyde resins, some companies replaced the asbestos with fibreglass whilst others went down the micro cellulose route a few years later, that those brands are no longer on sale or had their filters reformulated in the past isn't the issue though the facts are they did do it at some point in the past and now lie about it having ever taken place...... not that we should be surprised in the 1930's it was apparent that there was a correlation between smoking and lung cancer, yet it wasn't until the 60's that it was publicly admitted there was a link between them and at that point everyone was saying you should use a filtered product to protect yourself.... the tobacco companies and public health lying to populations around the world for nearly 100 years.....why would they change tact now when they face the chance of yet more major law suits for lung damage associated with "reduced risk", or perhaps its those early mistakes that are guiding them to be so cautious about vaping as a harm reduction rather than them being fully bought and paid for proxies of big T & big Pharma companies....yeah right pigs still don't fly so its not that

if your rba coil doesn't work right first time watch a vid or 3 and don't get too disheartened, it took me 4 goes to get mine done right so it wasn't dry hitting constantly, but once you get it sorted you'll be glad you took the time, just remember you can always upend the tank for a couple of minutes then take the coil out and rework it especially if you don't fill it to the brim in the first place

We were doing a democracy group work and smoking bans Vs freedom of choice and THIS was said, on my life......ffs "I heard that they "Big T" put broken glass in the fags, to cut the back of the throat to make the nicotine enter faster to give a bigger kick. I give up, I really do Marlborough and others used to have fibreglass filters (don't know if they still do)...... particulates did indeed cut some peoples throats, JPS black were called lung cutters for similar reasons, the filters being poorly made meant your lungs got cut by the particualtes from the filters breaking up as you smoked them so whilst the individual was slightly misinformed there understanding wasn't totally wrong, actually it was all the additives being applied that made me go over to rollies, which never had the acrid sulphur taste that cheap tailor made's did /

as to the original question about how long it will last, ive had an open 100ml bottle in the cupboard of my lounge next to my pc (so hotter than a normal room) for about 5 months and its still clear and doesn't seem to have changed flavour at all, I suspect that once it takes on a coloured hue it will change flavour but I don't expect that to be for a few months, the real trick is to decant it asap into small amber glass bottles that equate to roughly 1 months worth of usage, store them all out of sunlight and don't shake them until just before you use it,
although I must aslo say I've got nearly half a litre in the freezer in glass bottles inside a resealable plastic freezer bag inside a tuperware tub, just in case something untoward happens it wont contaminate the food.... perhaps you could talk your other half into allowing the same thing.
if not then grab a handy supply of amber glass bottles and take over a dark space to store your supply in, under the EU harmonisation of taxes rules we will see tobacco tax added to e-juice next year and the rates are likely to be eye watering....

Disclaimer: My definition of "fine for years and years" might be different from any person who has never rummaged though an ashtray looking for a dog end to spark up at 4 am back in the good old days before i discovered vapeing. ahh the good old days, I stopped doing that when I moved over the rollies several years back and I cant say I missed it either, instead I used ot keep a small tin full of ready to go rollies for when I was drunk and desperate when the shop(s) were closed...... I don't think the pepper taste would be too nice in the sweet flavours though /
