Yup. i raised the VG/PG content from 50/50 to 70/30 solely for that reason when starting out mixing my own.

Sorry folks been away all day, glad everyone else seems OK, to be fair to Darkstar they have requested I return the bottle for them to check which is fair enough, they will cover postage costs so cannot fault them on that point; .only problem is I cannot send it for a week as I am visiting the grand kids.  |

I would say to anyone worried about their's if you rebottled it on delivery for long term storage and failed to notice a strong pungent smell once the cap was removed I would think your fine. You cannot mistake the difference. I bought some nic from Darrent about 4 months ago and that had a real strong odour, really strong like made me flinch when i opened it strong and was orange in colour. I've been using it anway couldn't be bothered sending it back and it was only a 250ml bottle, i only mix at 3mg so it gets heavily diluted, can't say i've noticed it having any effect on the flavour or anything. That's good to know thanks m8, we are only on 1mg now so even with this reeking stuff we probably wouldn't notice such a small amount, just more concerned about the smell, the Nic is still clear. |

Hi I noticed on another forum folk complaining about the Nicotine they recently purchased from Darkstar, when I checked the batch number with a recent 500ml bottle I bought they are the same batch. I decided to open it despite it coming in a 500ml Amber glass bottle and I have to say the smell coming from it is really bad, I have contacted Darkstar and await their reply. Other batches I purchased ( 5ltrs) from them are good, clear and no nasty smell, these were 1litre bottles which are all fine, there's just something not right with this recent purchase, probably worth checking your own. Hi was this vg or pg nic as my daughter has just ordered 2 litres of pg nic PG m8, bought a couple of weeks ago |

Same here jtc , mines all split up into little 100ml bottles in the freezer so if it's bad it's bad and nowt I can do about it now, I didn't notice any bad smell coming from any of mine when I re-bottled it, no more than my other suppliers stuff  You can tell as soon as you remove the cap m8, the smells pungent so I would say your fine. What I don't understand is how some can be OK? |

Annnnd take a deep breath  I didn't notice any bad smell when I decanted mine, they were purchased in September/October/November 2016 , buuuut I've only just finished the first amber bottle of nicotine I bought in the AAEC group buy...December 2015! Last years Darkstar purchases are at the back of the freezer. Wasn't exactly planning on opening them anytime soon. EDIT; absolutely no idea what the batch number was.......but it was VG All my other 1ltr bottles from Darkstar are spot on, my issues only with the 500ml bottle purchased a few weeks ago |

Maybe I was just unlucky and yours are ok, but there are others over on POTV saying there's is harsh when vaping and smell coming from that same batch is very strong. This then made me go and check mine which turned out to be the same batch number in the thread title. Opened and instantly uuurrrggghh! Never smelt Nic base smell like this.
A bit disappointed at Darkstars reply so far, questioning how I store it? Sent the reply back that all my Nic base is stored in Amber glass bottles I a dedicated freezer, No reply since.
others say their's smells fine , just a heads up and do hope others are fine,
