I'll resist the urge to post regarding a conversation regarding e-cigs at Tesco yesterday with a staff member who was serving on the tobacco counter. I'm still fuming. I can unfortunately imagine, much the same type of conversations I have with smokers in our Smoking Shelter at work . . . . . Ignorance isn't bliss, it's bloody dangerous. If she is telling smokers what she told me about e-cigs there is no way they'd consider switching. |

I'm so frustrated regarding the BS. Even some vapers have no idea. This is in no way related to the OP. Me to and likewise RangersBillyBoy . . . . though I also look on these type of threads as an opportunity to do some setting straight of the record.  In the hope it does allay and put to rest some of the concerns that have been whipped up quite needlessly. This is why this forum is chuffing awesome as its populated by folk who actually do know what they're talking about. Thanks Dom. The crazy part in all this non issue, is that in order to get any decent level of enjoyable richness/creaminess in the reworked formula's, then concentrates using Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl are quite likely to be used. Makes no sense to me.  I'm so frustrated regarding the BS. Even some vapers have no idea. This is in no way related to the OP. |

I abused animals when really mentally unwell and misdiagnosed. I thought what I was doing was in their best interests. I was very cautious about getting animals again. I did not want to put them or me through the same... 8 years later I got my first pair of ratties and well....the rest is history (I didn't abuse ratties when I was unwell). I love my ratties and even changed vets from PDSA to a more expensive one when I didn't like how PDSA wouldn't give my terminally ill rattie pain relief (they said it was 'soft tissue damage' - I knew it was not!). I learnt as I went a long and am still learning and they (the ratties) have given me so much!!! Dunno about dogs being in heaven but I know where my ratties go - the rainbow bridge  Jane Jane, what a brave and honest post. Not sure what else to say. Thank you and well done. All animals go to Rainbow Bridge where they play and are pain free. They are waiting for us to join them again. |

I was with 5 other vapers on Friday filming a bit for Horizon with Michael Mosley and when he asked us if we were worried about vaping liquid with diacetyl in we all said "No" as the level as so much lower than from burnt tobbacco and there has never been a reported case of popcorn lung from smoking. Of course this is true but it doesn't aid sensationalism for the media. |

How nasty are the nasties is a moot point chill . . . . depends whether or not you choose to believe the misinformation that's been bandied around without a shred of any evidence whatsoever. It isn't just Custard concentrates that contain Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl, which when heated can cause naturally occurring Diacetyl - there are many other popular concentrates that also contain these compounds. This chart speaks volumes for me:  As an alternative to add a creamy taste to flavourings, Butyric Acid may now be used - the effects of inhalation are unknown to the best of my knowledge, additionally it tastes not very pleasant and rather waxy. However if you're set on having a tasteless Custard eliquid, then Capella have a V2 version and any of the Mix Master range are also free from Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl. Perfect Mandy. |
