Illegal substance

Has anyone considered the far reaching consequences of the EU directive.If they manage to limit the mg of liquid anyone using a ecig with more than the legal amount of nicotine could have their homes raided for stashes of high nicotine liquid

Can you imagine, Over 4mg of nicotine = Class B Drug, anyone selling 10ml bottles with more than 4mg of nic will be arrested for dealing drugs.

I think that with 700,000 vapers in the UK, they would need a helluva large Police Force to start raiding all our homes.

Anyways, with my surname starting with a "W", I will be safe for a few months.

I would imagine if they do limit it it will only be illegal to sell it. As for making your own I doubt very much they will be able to do anything about it.

No I meant in the same way that anyone with drugs found on them have their homes searched so anyone found with ecigs above legal limits would be demonized the same way and home searched

The difference with Marijuana is that it requires specialist lighting and heating, and it has a very distinct smell. When you're out and about using your ecig how is anyone going to know whether you've got 3ml nic, 40ml nic or zero nic? There's absolutely no difference in the smell and I really think the police have better things to do than take expensive testing equipment around with them and harrass everyone with an electronic cigarette!

Don't think you have to worry about police raids unless you start selling nic. The EU directive doesn't ban nic as such, just declares it a pharma product. So legal status would be more like having a stash of painkillers bought abroad which had a higher strength than you could buy in the UK. Or having 100mg nic in your freezer now.

Where Ron? The only references I can find to possession are under the "illicit trade" section, and I can't see police raiding you for that unless they suspected you were selling it.

Most people that are caught with cannabis in small amounts are given a 'warning' unless they have large amounts that would point to them dealing the police aren't that interested. I've tried to involve the police as a last resort with kids I've looked after constantly bringing the damned stuff into the house, they just don't want to know!

In the UK you can buy Tobacco Plant Seeds and grow your own tobacco. There is nothing illegal in doing so.
If push comes to shove, that is exactly what I will be doing.
I will then vape the dried leaves in my Iolite vaping machine. All legal and all above board.
Now that I know how to make my own flavouring, I can continue to enjoy all the benefits that I get at present from E-cigs.

I also imagine that if the EU Directive looks like going through, by the time it does there will be many ways published on the Internet that circumnavigate anything that the EU trys to stop.

For every buffoon there is in Brussels, there is 1000 vapers against their proposals.
So it is a thousand to one that we are going to win. It just might take a while.
