Jez the destroyer strikes again

Well I have done it again, had my SS Vamo off the classifieds only a few days ago from xrayspecs and its dead. The O-ring over the center pin fell out, it was intact but out it came, I was playing with it trying to get it back in, it shot into the air, landed on the floor..... and the cat ate it. I tried to play him like a set of bagpipes but alas it is running around is larger intestine as we speak and I aint shifting through a litter tray or hunting around the countryside for his waste.

So It looks like its dead, reads every attie as 0.0ohm and that's that. Anyone know if they can be repaired or am i just going to have to cut my loses and buy another.

I would just like to say this is not any fault of Mr Specs and he is only mentioned in the post to see if he has ever had this problem before. It was in fine condition and working perfectly when I got it and the service from said member was impeccable.

From your cats perspective its a good job it's an O shaped ring.
Imagine if it were triangular. You're cat woul look a bugger walking around and strutting with its tail up displaying an isosceles ring piece.

I can't understand how it even came out m8 as I never had an issue with it
It's only about 6 weeks old so technically would be still under warranty but I bought it from Vapourbreak.
You'll be getting a reading of 0.0ohm because the centre pin will be shorting against the side of the 510 connector so replacing the o-ring would most likely cure it. Can't believe this has happened but it makes me feel bad after just selling it to you, hope we can get it sorted. If someone knows where a replacement o-ring can be bought then I'll order one for you m8.

as in neils pics you should be able to stretch another over the top

if not desolder the posi pin replace the grommet and resolder the pin then re-seat centre pin

you can salvage a grommet from most of the cartos if you have a dead one lying around just use one of them
