RY(oh why)4

I’ll start on the positive.  This experience has shown me considerably more of my taste buds survived the thirty year hammering my smoking habit provided than I’d given them credit for.

Tobacco with caramel and vanilla sounded perfect to me as a long term lover of both tobacco and pretty much all things sweet. Reading many favourable reviews convinced me to make a 30ml purchase.  (Taste is of course subjective, and with that in mind, I’ve no intention of naming the retailer I purchased from since the service I received on this and other orders has been first class.)

I strongly disliked the taste.  Left it to steep for 7 days and disliked it further still.  Romelee mentioned in another post he found steeping simply increased the perfume content to an unvapeable level.  That’s precisely where I’m at.

My hope is one of the resident mixology magicians here can point me toward some rescue options.  I’d guess a concentrate of some form, but wouldn’t have a clue where to start.

I’m not a huge fan of menthol, but if it’s the only rescue option then suddenly I’m a huge fan after all.

At present i am steeping:

Decadent Flavors: DY4
Flavourarts: RY4 Nutzilla
Flavourarts: Golden Rollie
Mom and Pops: Tobacco Praze

Cannot tell you what they are like but they smell lovely.

I don't know why they call them Tobacco as i cannot taste much of anything related to tobacco but one thing for sure is it tastes great for me and it is: Mom and Pops Tobacco Haze, got Mom and Pops Tobacco Praze steeping and it smells like the Haze version so if it tastes anything like it's big brother i will be very happy

Have you got any other flavour ejuice? I quite like adding fruity flavours to my RY4 - particularly blackcurrant.

Forgot to add if it's the same RY4 as i used with that perfumy taste i can only imagine it maybe difficult to remove that taste, it's very potent, if anything the only thing i could think of would be maybe Perfumers French Vanilla deluxe, over powers a lot of stuff and tastes divine.

Trying to get in my head if menthol would work....... maybe, but would be a strange concoction

Hmm, sort of know what you mean. I had a rather ineffective Caramel (manufacturer's name withheld for the same reasons as Gradof) and some RY4 which is very highly perfumed (maybe the same as yours?). I made up a mix using 10% of each on 50/50 12mg base, and boy is is fragrant. Interestingly it now has a major ginger taste, which is not unpleasant, but no RY4 and no Caramel at all!
Just goes to show that there are a myriad of flavours out there yet to be mixed together I suppose!

Just don't hold me to it, it's only what i would do, if you do get it only put a few drops at a time as it is a concentrate.

We were all beginners once - I'm only 3½ months into it myself. Luckily you've got your Gold & Silver that you like. As you've said taste is subjective, so always buy small (5 or 10ml) until you know you like something. I always advise newbies to buy a fruit, menthol and/or a dessert juice to try. We all think we will want something just like our cigarettes but it always surprises people how much they like to vape other flavours.

Another point to bare in mind is that juice flavours will vary across brands and sellers. So a Hangsen RY4 will taste different to a Dekang RY4. I made that mistake myself - I liked  Vapeescape RY4 so when I put an order in through a different vendor I ordered a 30ml bottle and it was  The same with your B & H alikes - they will not be the same if one is from Vapeescape and one is from Ecigwizard.

Have you mixed your own RY4 from a concentrate? I was reading it as bought ready made ejuice

It was a ready made I bought, but I figured the brilliant minds in here might have some rescue methods none the less.

you could pop out and get some menthol crystals menthol tends to make anything vapable i have some ry4 steeping i added a little caramel as it taste vile now it taste vile with caramel 50 mm as well damn

Vape Wizard might help Gradof, it's a flavour rounder/balancer:

But if it's that bad for your tastes I'd be inclined to drown it with something more potent, like Menthol or The Perfumer's Apprentice Tiramisu, which is an extremely intense ' smoky ' dessert coffee flavour.

Sometimes it's not worth the time or expense of trying to re-jig an unpleasant flavour.
