I got my MVP2 on Friday and it works fine with my mini Protank. Today I needed a larger tank so I put the large Protank on using the beauty ring and...nothing....won't fire or even try. Tried it without the beauty ring and still nothing. Gone back to the mini Protank but I'm gutted. Has this happened to anyone else? It's the original Protank I'm trying to use.

Does the Protank work on other things Jacquif? If it does, then it could be the centre pin thing on the Protank needs lowering to make a contact on your MVP2 . . . .

Yeah I've had it on my Provari all day. I might try a 510 to 510 adapter but it's weird that it doesn't work straightaway eh?

Except the centre pin doesn't lower on a Protank?

It does a bit if you tease it gently with some needle nose pliars
You can try easing up the centre pin on the MVP too
I use protanks fine on my MVP so might also be worth trying a different head in the protank and seeing if you get better results

Pulled the pin out of the Protank about 1mm. It's been one of those weekends. Thanks.

Glad you have got it working.
I never bother with the beauty ring on the MVP2.

Same thing happens on most tanks
My iClear 30's were doing the same on my MVP2
Me thinks they need to add a spring loaded pin on the next release so there's a bit of play in it for the various tanks

Hi @jaquif I have an MVP2 as well and the Centre Pin quite often needs lifting when I swap between different Tanks. On the bottom of the MVP2 is an on off switch, turn off BEFORE lifting the pin, and click the button that flashes on the front 5 times to turn off MVP Before lifting pin (in case it shorts out)

I'm glad I read this, my MVP 2 is arriving tomorrow, will bear this in mind. Mine too hopefully, courtesy of Jason at VE....Friday i decided i needed some banoffee cream and a new mini vivi and 10 spare heads. Saturday i decided my cheapo charger and batteries supplied with my slow boat vamo (earlier in the year) needed an upgrade along with two more mini vivi's. Sunday I decided the temptation of the MVP v2 was to great to resist. Tuesday or Wednesday I am fearing falling in love with the iClear (will be my first dual coil) supplied with the MVP and deciding the mini vivi's no longer cut it!! I really hope Santander are in a forgiving mood this month!

Get a 510 Airflow Controller they work a treat with an atty etc. that won`t fire on the MVP2. It solved the problem as can be read hereGriff
