How do you know when it's time to change heads on an EVOD?

I've had it almost a week now and have been using both cartos and they both still seem okay. Is there some telltale sign that the heads need to be changed? Thanks.

Flavour goes off essentially SS . . . anything from 1-2weeks I find Evod heads last, depending upon what eliquid I'm using.

Usually you will notice a big drop off in flavour and sometimes vapour production.

Some will say a manky, gunkish taste is the giveaway, others a burnt taste; For me personally (and this is just my personal experience), I didn't really notice a taste difference when my heads (in a Mini Protank but the exact same head) needed changing, it was more a general degradation in performance - The battery needed to be fired for longer to get a decent vape, I was going from pressing the button for 2-3 secs to 6-8 secs, sometimes even triggering the 10-sec auto cutoff feature in the battery before I got a decent vape from it.

As with almost in everything in life, your mileage may vary, but for me I got an easy month & a half out of my first mini Protank head (the ones that came with the device), and that was not "easy going" vaping, but replacing smoking completely.

Recently I have found that its the decrease in vapour that has been the big sign that I need to change the head more so than a burnt taste. The one flavour that I notice a burnt flavour is pear.

Thanks a lot for the replies everyone. Perpetua which liquid types are known to wear the heads out quicker? Oh and while I'm here I saw a list of liquids not to use in an EVOD as they crack the carto but can't remember where I saw it.
Anyone know offhand what not to use? Cinnamon and citrus are the only ones I remember.

Any eliquids that are sweet or contain sweetener will caramelize/gunk up your coils quicker.
