I've read a few times somewhere that you can make a cotton candy flavour simply by using ethyl maltol instead of buying the cotton candy concentrate. If that's the case how much would I need to use in a 5ml mix for instance? I would be making it up at 16mg nic and 100% VG and my nic liquid is 72mg in VG I've got a 30ml bottle of the stuff so I might as well give it a try

Yeah Perpetua I think I'm going to have to get some of that perfumers apprentice sweetner. I added some ethyl maltol to some liquid but it didn't seem to sweeten it at all, so ended up mixing some of Papillon's pre-mixed caramel & cream which did sweeten it. Damn it, I bought 30ml of ethyl maltol Now I don't really know what to use it for

I'd suggest selling it on, as lots of mixers do like it. But it's probably not so easy with postage for you. Another useful ' condiment ' are Vanillin Crystals, I don't find them especially sweet but they do bring a nice creaminess to a mix. Available as crystals or ready mixed: www.leisureliquids.com/pavanillin.html
