Tried 1 of my 2nd batch today.

I tried Mango which I made on the 18th March, it isn't bad but tastes a bit perfumy, perhaps be better with some other fruit mixed with it, but it is vapable so I pleased about that.

I made a balls-up of mixing 2 flavours, I was meant to mix them at 25% but I thought as there a 2 flavours I should do 12% of each....wrong!
You can't help some people can you, Perps told me to mix at 25% I thought in total not each.

I think she probably meant in total Phoenix ., otherwise you'd end up with 50% flavouring!

What 2 flavours were they? Depending on what they were and how strong each of the concentrates is, you might want to play around with the %'s, eg 10% of one and 15% of the other type thing

Not too sure how strong the Cap Banana is, but I would probably start with 10% Banana and 15% VC for a first try. Then depending on which ends up being the dominant flavour, tweak it one way or the other

Ah, ok, so with the 12/12, which flavour was the most dominant? And how long did you steep it for?

I read that the perfumy taste is caused by too much concentrate being used but don't know if it's right or not.

I did mean in total Phoenix . . . leave it for a week or two longer perhaps, as the VC still has a little way to go. Then tweak to suit your tastes as lairey has suggested.

If it's vc it does need at least 3 weeks before using, whereas I made up 100ml of afro last night and it is fantastic straight away, much better than the lot I made before, as in 8 months ago, don't know if it was cos making a bigger ammount the odd ml difference is not such a big deal, no scuminess at all. probobly do do with either different nic or pg/vg though.

It is 4 weeks old, it has an orangey colour? I can smell more of the banana coming now, I will leave it another week.

orangey colour is good - that's how steeped VC goes - even longer and it starts to go dark brown and really delicious

VC just gets better and better with age. I found a bottle of VC that must be about 6 months old, it was the nicest I've ever tried. I might hide another bottle somewhere so I get another nice surprise in a few months time haha! *ROFL*

Yep I found a 6month plus bottle a month ago, was near black colour, didn't last long though nom nom
