Went around to deliver the Easter eggs this morning to the grandkids. The eldest let me in as Mum was in the bath and Dad at work. After I'd bribed the dog with treats to stop him barking, went into the house where they were both behaving beautifully. The youngest went out into the garden to play, while the eldest was on the XBox. We're chatting away, and he said something I didn't understand... until I realised he wasn't speaking to me... 'Sorry Grandad, was talking to a friend'. He had a headset and mike, which I thought was just part of the game he was playing, but he was also talking to his mates online. ??? Considering that years ago I wrote computer programs and designed databases, I am soooo out of the loop with current technology... I feel really old today! PS... another frigging wasp just came in to say hello.

I just knocked one of those senseless (Er.... a wasp not a child!! ) with a fly swat for daring to enter my house!! Bet it won't do that again in a hurry!! (If it survives!)

Sounds just like my 12 year old Raffles he lives on the xbox, and a week round toots will soon change your mind about wasp's Haha, it's not that bad, you get used to different insects wherever you live, and they just become the norm and you learn how to deal with them, normally like this I forgot to mention in the other thread about our new breed of flies over here. They actually bite you and they flippin hurt too. They've developed teeth would you believe What the 'experts' are saying the reason for this is that because the Canaries rely on their tomato exports, the excess tomatoes are dumped in barrancas, one of whch is just down the road from where I live, and these flies have developed teeth to puncture the skins of the tomatoes. So now we are paying for this by having to put up with 'biting flies', and at certain times of the year (after the dumping of tomatoes) we have thousands of these flies around, not only taking chunks out of the tomatoes but also out of us. Me and a friend popped into a bar/restaurant one day for a spot of lunch and we could not eat our lunch in peace coz of these flies. We both kept on saying 'ouch' 'ouch' 'ouch'. It got that bad that the owner came out with a special liquid spray which we had to spray ourselves with to keep the biting flies away. It was terrible. Don't know what the spray contained but it did the trick so we could eat our lunch

You may enjoy it here (it's free), you can learn or update coding skills, the forums are interesting and they have some challenges to do and also tutorials. PS I had a wasp last year I whacked it about 5 or 6 times before it lay still.
