Coil help please

Ok so not long ago I popped a post on asking if anyone has had any adverse reaction to using cotton wool.

I have no clue where that thread is lol, but basically not long after I started using  cotton wool I developed a tickly cough.

It started off waking me a couple of times and got to the stage I could not sleep at all for it.

After my post I went back to using normal kanger coils, and the problem didn't go away but got much better.

A few days ago I was given some microcoils, threaded them with cotton wool and have not slept for 3 nights due to a tickly cough.

So my question is - what can I buy to thread through my microcoils other than cotton?

The standard heads are silica I think. Give it a min and someone will be on suggesting rayon

sammy13 why not try rayon ? davetherayon maybe can help, he has about 3 miles of it I believe

I am happy to try anything, but would rayon give the same reaction as the cotton wool do you think? I don't really know what it is.

It may be just the cotton wool I use Sainsbury ( not basics ) pure cotton wool balls.

I have heard of ekowool? but not sure what that is or if it is suitable for my coils, and whatever is used in the official heads never caused me a problem, but I am not sure what that is or what thickness etc.

I can actually feel all little lumps on the back of the roof of my mouth, going down to the tonsils , it is these that itch if that is the right word.

I have tried the rico, and the other yarn those didn't work for me.

Ekowool is just posh silica.

If all else fails you could try boiling and drying the cotton wool to see if that helps?

I didn't get on with ordinary cotton wool sammy13 so I got some of the organic ones of Amazon that Greg recommended, works out about 4 quid a bag but they last forever..ish
