Why does my tank get hot on the spinner?

Using a protank mini with home made coil at 1.9ohm, cotton wick. On the MVP it's fine, on the spinner or little ego battery, the base gets quite warm, not hot really but warm so I notice. On the MVP it doesn't. I've noticed this before, on the ego batteries I used to use and when I asked a vendor was told the coil needed replacing. That can't be the cause though cos I've put a new coil in this morning. The other protank mini does this too, on the spinner or ego but not the MVP? Am very confused and would appreciate any advice in words of one syllable cos when it comes to batteries and electrics I seem to have a mental block understanding it. Oh, spinner set at between 3.4 and 3.9 ish, and it's a spinner 2 or ego 650 (over a year old).

Likely just the greater mass of the MVP better at absorbing more heat from the atty than the wee ego can.

Or even the bigger spinner? So I'm not going to blow up then?

I think it's quite natural for tanks to get a little warm after use. The heat from the coil has to go somewhere after all. You're probably not noticcing it aas much with the mvp as some of the heat will be spreading to the larger metal area on the top of the mvp. Dissipation I believe is the technical term... Not that I'm an expert or anything. Hope that helps. Sure someone more qualified will add their tuppence worth soon.

I use Ebaron drippers all the time, short and stout so they are ...lol.. trust me, they get so hot i dont know how anyone can vape them without a drip tip... which some do, if i chain vape them they can even make the top of my mod warm.... you will be fine, just let them cool down a little if it worries you that much

Same here, on the vamo no problem but as soon as I switch to spinner or smaller ego it gets hot. These very knowledgable people on here told me not to worry a couple of weeks ago...so I don't...by the way I have my spinner a bit higher than you, usually vape it at 4.5. So far it just gets hot and that's it. So don't worry is the purpose of my post.

Interestingly one of my aerotanks gets very hot on my Vamo, the whole top part of the Vamo also gets hot, so much so that I remove the battery when its not going to be used for an hour or so, and I only use it in small bursts

I was using my Spinner 1 today with the Evod 2 and that got super hot. It kept vaping though.
