I'm only trying to help you guys.
All the batteries you listed should come with their own chargers, even if they weren't part of a kit. I've never owned any of them so I can't comment on each individual battery.
I'll just repeat my advice now and step out of this thread. Only ever use the charger that comes with your battery.
I've said enough.

So all of us who have bought genuine batteries ( or Chinese fakes ) need to know about chargers. You know we do not.

I've said enough. Although I appreciate you trying to help. I've already done my homework about what charger to use, and I'm fairly clued up on how things work. I have to say that sammys question is a valid one. How would you know what charger to use for each of those batteries listed? you can buy most of those batteries seperately from a lot of vendors who may not stock the chargers.. a lot of people who use spinners have moved on from normal egos and thus think that they already have suitable charging equipment. Thing with the ego chargers is that they are avaliable from around 100ma upwards. Lower number just means it will take longer to charge. What a lot of people are doing is using a 2 amp phone charger block and then bunging on the ego adapter. If the ego adapter is only rated to 1a it will overheat from the excess current and potentially explode. The wall plug I will be using has a max output of 500ma which is well within the capabilities of the ego dongle that sammy13 is kindly sending me.. This battery didn't come with specs or a charger but it only took me 10 minutes to find out the recommended chargers specifics. Voltage isn't mentioned at any point

Da**it when I need to quote from a source I can't find it lol. Every ego battery I've ever had has come with it's own charger.
We've all seen the headlines about exploding batteries. In those articles they say the wrong charger is being used. There are different mains/usb adapters which has been discussed a lot on here. But what we don't hear about is the differences between the various charger units, and the fact that there are 2 different variants (voltages).
The only way to know for sure what the battery is is to either speak to someone who does know or to test the battery when fully charged. But that won't work on VV batteries
From my old job I do have a lot of knowledge about battery safety. My problem is explaining it to someone else.
I really, really need to find that thread now, don't I!!
ooooh you've proper put me on the spot here.

I've bought plenty of ego style batteries as that is all I have ever used, and of course they are always for sale on the classies as well, but only once have I had a charger sent with it and that was a kit I bought, ( the one I am passing on ), you buy an ego battery the shop may sell a charger but that would cost £5 more so you just buy the battery

sammy13 Dan
right that was quick according to the works computer the results that have came back are as follows
Ego type Chargers that have passed the safety infrastructure and are classed as safe having a 4.2V output are 1987 manufacturers
Ego type Chargers that have passed the safety infrastructure and are classed as safe having a 4.1V output are 52 manufacturers
Ego type Chargers that have passed the safety infrastructure and are classed as safe having a 4.05V output are 7 manufacturers
Ego type Chargers that have failed the safety infrastructure and are classed as unsafe having a 4.3V output or above are 602 manufacturers
there is no recorded manufacturers producing chargers of below 4V at the moment
this is what is recorded in the safety lists in our works computer and I have to work from that list so if there is any I would love to know about it

Hey thanks for stepping in ronaldo. Interesting results you have there, in that someone on here is giving bad advice and I trusted them. They actually jumped into a thread to correct me. Every ego I've had has come off the charger at 3.6/3.7 volts, but I was told I was wrong and that there were 4.2 volt ego batteries (not VV) Still, I believe I am still right in advising peeps to only use the charger that came with their battery. If only I could find that thread.
