Perhaps we ought to open a Hardware/Craft Shop together . . . . . Steady on old girl, could this be another marriage doomed to failure?

Copied and pasted from POTV From Lubrisolve Dear Customer, Thank you for your enquiry. We will continue to be able to be able to supply our nicotine products post TPD ruling as we are a supplier of the base products. All of our products are fully certified with CofA's available for each batch. I am confused ? post may 20th they are still able to sell there wares under the 12 months sell through clause to the public with regards to the 72mg nic base, after that things might change or they might not depending on how the government decides to move forwards, will they choose to enforce the legislation or leave it with an "ignore this junk" label, if they do as is predicted and take the latter then lip service is all that will be paid to article 20 and business will continue as normal (rather like the French and Italians do for various laws they don't agree with) even after that point if they set up all their customer records as "business accounts, pay on order no vat exemption" they can theoretically continue to flog their goods to the public (who already have accounts with them) skirting round the "trade only law" rather like macro used to do for the general public shoppers wanting a cash n carry card.... and legally speaking that's a bullet proof defence for them (we sell our lab grade goods to businesses only) its a bit of a minefield and time will tell exactly how the chips fall around this whole thing but so far it seems like our government is planning on more of a "manyana manyana" approach and that can only be good for the country The Government's line is to use the "Italian approach" in other words put the law through but not actively enforce it. However as a vendor there are no guarantees, it will just be a "wait and see" situation. Vendors may carry on selling Nicotine Base in large than 10ml quantities and/or greater than 18mg strengths and Trading Standards may or may not ignore or prosecute them. We we'll just have to wait and see what happens. At the end of the day you will be able to buy nicotine base just 10ml max per bottle with no limits on bottles purchased however the maximum nicotine strength will be 20mg which in practical purposes means the vendors will probably sell 18mg or 19mg strength so as not to inadvertently go over 20mg.

I realise this may be slightly controversial, but I'm contemplating the possibility of "doing a Clive" (Bates, he tested the ease of this) and buying in higher concentrations in smaller amounts from abroad (HiLiq was mentioned on another thread), and diluting it down before freezing it. I'm not talking about 1000mg/ml, but the same supplier does 100 and 200mg also... need to do the maths to see how feasible it will be, even if I only use that for my juice only and keep Mrs.G-J and Mini-Gun#1 on the "regular" stuff I have in the freezer already, just to de-risk the option.... any thoughts anyone?? edit:- I've been mixing my own for 3 years now, so think I can tick the "expert mixer" box to enter their website

GunJackthe only argument against buying stuff direct from china is the age old question of "whats in it ?" it wasn't that long ago there was a lot of media attention about liquids they flog containing all sorts of nasty stuff, if it were me I think I would want it tested before I used any of it just to be sure there wasn't something nasty in there, with UK supplied stuff there is less risk associated with it due to our stricter rules on declaring contents and requirements for lab certification, if your happy to take that risk on yourself then I suppose its your choice I would be asking some chemical testing group for their input though, perhaps *-SARIN-* would be the best guy to give definitive answers what with him being in the trade as it were

Rather than EU TPD after the 20th illegal. Thats why I was looking at the 48mg.

IIRC you need a poisons licence to trade in anything over 7.5% or 75 mg and that has been the UK law for donkey's years, though not at all sure if it is just trade or it is to be in position of so would assume the later.

I knew it was summat like that but couldnt recall it. Im now wondering whether theres going to be over the top warnings on the packets containing 200mg that might draw unwanted attention at customs. Id hate to spend out just to get it confiscated or summat. 17 liters of 3mg ejuice from 250ml of base does sound tempting. EDIT: IIRC you need a poisons licence to trade in anything over 7.5% or 75 mg and that has been the UK law for donkey's years, though not at all sure if it is just trade or it is to be in position of so would assume the later. found in possession of a banned or controlled substance is a lengthy jail term, as is attempting to import a banned or controlled substance without a licence and your name appearing on the local authorities register of approved poisons controllers, you get the licence from the home office but without doing the council paperwork your not allowed to buy the stuff, that was why the MOD started using Rentokil because all us highly trained chem troopers kept moving from one area to another and they kept forgetting to do the paperwork meaning we were illegally operating poison stores.... still have the pointless bit of card though from the home office that lets me use them...... Normally you would use High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to analyse the purity but these machines aren't found on every street corner, nor are you likely to know a mate of a mate that has access to one. If you do, the tests are still expensive in the grand scheme of things, even if they agree to risk their job by testing it for you! You could probably also use a United States Pharmacopeia (USP) assay to attain purity but again, not easy and not cheap. USP is what is commonly known as Pharma Grade and they have a batch test certificate. But yeah, find yourself a base (probably triethylamine), a solvent (almost certainly ethyl acetete), numerous other annoying and hard to get chemicals that have to be mixed to specific ratios and concentrations, a gas chromatograph and just for good measure you had better chuck in a nitrogen-phosphorous detector Simples;) On a similar note, you guys are aware that most of the Nicotine that you buy already is "made" from nicotine crystals? If only there was a way to attain the crystals and add them to a diluting agent *cough* PG or VG? *cough* I've also always wondered how "Research Chemicals" get into the country and where they come from? I might have a Chinese delivered tonight! Long live the darknet

*-SARIN-*who needs t he dark web when you have access to this www.alibaba.com/showroom/pure-nicotine.html..... although a chemist pointing out what to buy and the quantities of it to be added to the dissolving agent might take some of the guess work out things afterall buy the wrong one and all your doing is giving your body a giant vitamin b3 boost

I took a punt on Darrant chemicals and placed an order on May bank holiday, a week later no order delivered yet so contacted them, they checked with their courier and the package had been damaged, so ok they tell me they will dispatch a new order. I say fine and wait yet another week (Monday)get in contact again and same thing they will contact the courier, so I call again later in the day to be told courier had not got back to them, new option offered would they make a refund if the courier still has not been in touch, I say yes after 2 weeks a refund would be better than this. I had to contact them again this morning to find out about when I could expect the refund as nothing had come through after Mondays call the lady I spoke with says she has done it. I checked and it had been done, not once was there we are sorry and to add to it she informed me they will no longer be doing nicotine. I would not place another order with them now even for VG/PG as the whole experience was sadly lacking in any care or real customer service, they did not mention the courier being used by name but if it were me I would find another if it takes more than a week to make a delivery.
