I can only hope this is a temporary issue and the powers that be won't be able to ignore the science forever. I don't believe that will be the case, but you've got to hope, right? the thing is even if we voted out of the EU as a country in the referendum we would still be under EU law as they stand today until sept 2018 (allowing a few days for Cameron to try and wriggle out of making the formal notification, a formal vote of no confidence in him and the subsequent party election of boris or similar as the new leader) under the 24 months clause in article 50 of the Lisbon treaty, unless by some miracle both sides agreed to let us just cease being a member immediately (no harm/no foul situation) so at best whoever is the leader of the house after the referendum will be allowed to suspend the TPD article 20, (not repeal it but just make it totally unenforceable within the UK) it would still apply to cross boarder sales / I wasn't really thinking of that side of things, just dreaming of a time TPD as we know it might not exist or might not apply to vaping. But then again enough damage will already have been done by then

It's difficult not to panic when we're under this pressure, I'm no different to everyone else in that respect . . . . but for anyone who hasn't built up a stash that gives them a security blanket - it isn't the end of being able to purchase 72mg Nicotine Base in the UK, yet.
This is part of a post from Rob at Dark Star which hopefully will give some reassurance . . . .
" There's actually no need to panic buy because we will be able to produce nicotine for retail sale until November 20th and continue selling that stock until May 2017. "

The e-cig shop have already pulled 72mg nic from sale The TPD - from The E-cig Shop 72mg Nicotine After a lot of consultations with relevant bodies we have made a decision to remove 72mg nicotine from sale with immediate effect. We will continue to sell our base liquids and will also introduce two further variations over the coming weeks, 18mg 100% PG & 18mg 100% VG. All of these products are currently going through the process to become fully TPD tested, registered and compliant so there will be no interruption of the supply of this product. We have not made these decisions lightly but feel in the long term it is the best decision for our business and customers. We will be reviewing our base prices over the coming weeks to hopefully offer our customers even better value. Promo codes As of the 20th may our promo codes will only be valid on Flavour concentrates, VG & PG. Mixology Mixology will be our new site dedicated to the finest flavours from around the world. Like the page to be the first to know when the site launches and the fantastic deals we'll have running! m.facebook.com/Mixology-Box-1717391825205252/Thanks guys for your loyal custom during this testing time smile emoticon Natalie

I agree with Perpetua , there's still plenty (I hope) of time to stock up with the UK TPD rules.... I, for one, only have minimal personal stock at this stage. Although hopefully that'll change, towards the end of the year.

Will Dave keep that long I'd give davetherayon evens at best Piffle! Starting a google search for 'nicotine is a' returns : stimulant, cognitive enhancer, insecticide, and laxative. So I'll have no problems with keeping awake, alert, flyless and... regular for a long time to come.

I'd probably have squirreled away enough to supply a small country! ( I've a loft full of knitting yarn from when I had my shop - just to illustrate the point. )

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your enquiry. We will continue to be able to be able to supply our nicotine products post TPD ruling as we are a supplier of the base products. All of our products are fully certified with CofA's available for each batch.
I am confused ?

Perhaps we ought to open a Hardware/Craft Shop together . . . . .

I am confused ? post may 20th they are still able to sell there wares under the 12 months sell through clause to the public with regards to the 72mg nic base, after that things might change or they might not depending on how the government decides to move forwards, will they choose to enforce the legislation or leave it with an "ignore this junk" label, if they do as is predicted and take the latter then lip service is all that will be paid to article 20 and business will continue as normal (rather like the French and Italians do for various laws they don't agree with) even after that point if they set up all their customer records as "business accounts, pay on order no vat exemption" they can theoretically continue to flog their goods to the public (who already have accounts with them) skirting round the "trade only law" rather like macro used to do for the general public shoppers wanting a cash n carry card.... and legally speaking that's a bullet proof defence for them (we sell our lab grade goods to businesses only) its a bit of a minefield and time will tell exactly how the chips fall around this whole thing but so far it seems like our government is planning on more of a "manyana manyana" approach and that can only be good for the country
