Hi everyone - hope all is good where you are. This may be old news, but I got an email yesterday from Totally Wicked, advertising the Screwdriver at half price. I watched Scott's video that came with it. He says it is available from TW and TECC (didn't know they were connected ???) So - big question - is it worth me breaking the bank (again) to stock up with one of those? I currently have a Riva and Tornado - am happy with those. But am I missing something better? Is a Screwdriver cheaper in the long run for replacement atties and batteries etc? Being a beggar for a bargain, I would hate to miss it. All advice gratefully received.

Morning Hanow I'd get one without doubt at that price - I like mine, it gives a great vape with a 910 LR atty. The only downside for me is the button placement, I don't find it quite so user friendly as the Riva/Tornado. But at that price it's a fab spare and the batteries are quite cheap, you'll just need a 2pin to UK adaptor. Plus if you get a 910 to 510 adaptor set, which are also half price you'll have the best of two worlds.

OOh Hanow, was about to try & contact you. Are you free on Sunday? Lettie is in Plymouth for the weekend & we are going to have a meet up & a micro vapefest Just about to start a new thread about it but just thought if you can make it, I'm sure Lettie will have her Screwdriver MK11 by then & I've certainly got an SD mk1 you can try. And yes, TECC & TW are sister companies.

i only use the mk2 sd, im thinking of getting another one from tecc. my silver/chrome one is losing its colour. odly only on the battery end.
anyway, i have 6 new batts from when TW done a sale, around 25 901 attys, 3 chargers (2x nano and 1 from tw).
if you guys could read the tecc sd section and work out whats the best deal as its giving me a headache. i think!!!!!! i should just buy the sd @£17. the thing is it dont come with a button cover and personally i think its essential for the sd, although they sell a lanyard that also shows the button with it, they dont include it, and you cant buy one according to a tecc email, yet one is included in the full kit. yes i have a cover on my sd, but how long will that last, i think the ridges will wear at some point. raggy........

Chrissie - re: Sunday, not sure, don't think so, but will see what I can sort. Can't leave my dogs too long, so have to rely upon others. Will get back to you on that one :-(
Meanwhile, Chrissie, assuming I go for the Screwdriver deal - can you help with a shopping list of what else I may need to accompany, support it? I still get totally blinded by all of the numbers, letters etc. No probs if you are busy - I do get there eventually - even if I finish up with loads of uselss bits due them being the wrong bit/thingy etc.

Just had a squizz Raggy, I'd go for the £17.50 SD with the £1.50 lanyard to get the end cap as you've got the other gear.
Might also be worth mailling TECC or indeed Trog direct to see if they have any spare end caps they could sell you.

Thanks from me as well Perpy

my silver/chrome one is losing its colour. odly only on the battery end. My MarkI is all the same colour, if a little dull. I found emails to Trog from when I sent 2 noses for repair (I kept breaking the buttons), that was July 08 [EDIT - quite right, Chrissie, July 09, sorry re typo] and I must have had them many months before that. The button placed at the end will take a bit of getting used to if you're accustomed to a side-button, but I find it quite comfortable using the inside of my baby finger. It wasn't so comfortable before Trog changed to the wider diameter button. A Screwdriver at TECC's current price must be the most cost-effective (portable) mod on the market, allowing for cheapness of batteries, and mine has never gone wrong in any way. (The reason the buttons used to break was cos I held it between teeth and it would slip off the cart and crash onto the floor nose first - it's fine now I've got my neck lanyard.) scylla

SDs are very cost-effective in terms of batteries. I've found them very reliable - I have one Mk 1 I bought in April 09 and a Mk 2 i bought from TW as soon as the Mk2 was released last year. Both have been 100% reliable. I have unused spare buttons/switches for both still in the packaging I also have three more Mk1s that have never been used...

I think i will get one anyway, with a 510 adapter pretty much works out free attys what with the postage. raggy

Oooo that's a bit misleading that lanyard picture than Raggy as they're showing the end cap quite clearly. Surprised you can't get spares either, but! it's still a great deal and worth every penny.
