I have 5 different Nautiluses on 20w Isticks on the go at a time. Different flavours for different moods and in different places. 4 of them have coils that last many months and I do not keep a record of these. However I have been keeping a record of my 24/7 set up and by that one, I know exactly how long the coils last and how much my e-juice and coils cost me on a daily basis.
I've been through the stages of searching for the "ultimate" mod and buying every new fangled mod that somebody else is raving about. That was a sure way of wasting money for little return and a lot of hassle. Today I have a set up that suits me, lasts 24 hours on one charge and does not need refilled for about 30 hours. E-juice + coil comes in at 17.25p per day. Even I canny complain at that!!!!

Good for you lobeydosser it's great when you find a set up that you enjoy. I wasn't suggesting you change the way you vape or what mods to use. Just highlighting the different coils you could try in the nautilus that may make your vape more enjoyable. The worst that could happen would maybe push your budget up to 18p a day for a short period. I think they make a great tank even better. Happy vaping P.S Willing to challenge you Send me your details and I will send you a 0.7 nautilus coil and one of the 1.8 triton claptons. Only condition is you post your opinions on the forum ?

Hi Tomo On the basis of your suggestion, I will purchase a pack of both the 0.7 and the 1.8 Triton coils. However, as far as the 0.7 ones, although I have asked on numerous occasions about coil life and power usage of these, all the answers I have been given were very vague or purposely ignored. So much so that I am left with the distinct impression that these coils use so much power that I would have to carry around spare batteries just to get a full days use from them. Also that my 5ml tank would need a refill. There is so much more than just the taste to contend with when you are considering to look for an alternate mod. It has to be better on all levels. Convenience, practicality, simplicity and satisfaction.

And you're certainly likely to need a refill in a day sub ohming. There is so much more than just the taste to contend with when you are considering to look for an alternate mod. It has to be better on all levels. Convenience, practicality, simplicity and satisfaction. Not forgetting how we as individual's have our own set of personal requirements to make vaping enjoyable, which aren't necessarily the same as the next user. I'm sat here with 10 devices in front of me, all with different tank/dripper systems and flavours. Some sub ohm, some MTL. That's what I enjoy, the variety . . . . . coil/power life doesn't really enter into it for me.

Hi Tomo I have now been reading up comments on the 1.8 and the 0.7 and there seems to be quite a lot of info on them. First of all the 1.8. Although recommended that these are used between 10 and 13W, vapers are recommending that they are used between 14 and 16W. This is way above the wattage that I normally vape at and it would seriously restrict the length of usage time I would have from a mod. Also there are a number of complaints regarding burnt wicking, despite having tried these on different settings. For the 0.7ohm, it is recommended that you use no higher than 6mg ejuice. I use 24mg. Perpetua reckoned that I would need a 30w mod. Unfortunately 20w ones are all I have and I would not go out and buy a higher one just for an experiment. Whilst I do understand that using more power would enhance the flavour for some vapers there are always compromises to be accepted when looking for a happy medium. Last thing I do each evening is fill the tank and put the mod on charge. First thing each morning is take off charge and sling on the lanyard. For the rest of the day my ecig is always there, always ready and I do not have to think about it. No spare batteries, no spare ejuice, no hassle. Yes, there are other mods scattered through the house for when I fancy the odd sook, but my main one remains on the lanyard. It took me 2 years to find a set up that suited me in all situations. I think it would not suit everyone and many would not like the idea of their e-cigs being on show to all and sundry, but that doesn't bother me. So thanks Tomo for your suggestions, but on reflection, I guess I will just stick to what I have.

I've heard this since I started vaping, yet the only "accidents" that have been proved, turn out to be caused by folks using inappropriate chargers.
Do you honestly think that all the vapers in this world sit at home watching their units charge, day and night, because they think it would be dangerous to leave them "unattended"?
I have been charging all my ecigs, overnight since I started. Always with chargers appropriate for the units they came with.

Totally agree with you lobeydosser not worth buying gear to vape something that may give a little improvement and your happy with anyway. Happy vaping my friend Must admit I also leave batteries on charge when I'm not there, is it really that dangerous?

Then again I use only the proper chargers that go with the appropriate batteries.
Common sense and not leaving them on once the charging is complete will go a long way to protect your equipment and the life of your chargers.

lobeydosser don't charge overnight or while unattended. It's not safe. Vape safely :-) Ummm yeah. About that...... Yes - I know I've heard that comment many times since I started vaping. AND I know there is some sound logic to it. But in my normal approach I've not always followed suggested "best practice". I regularly have battery devices on charge when I'm not in attendance. Laptops, e-readers, tablets, cordless drills and vaping batteries among other things. Never had an issue. But then I do look after my various battery devices and their chargers. And I've a special benchtop charging location setup away from easily flammable items. It seems like I may not be the only one to break that "no unattended charging rule" too!

Tomo - Probably a very silly question - apologies Are you using the 0.7 coils in a Nautilus? I'm just curious as to how the Nautilus "reacts" with a sub-ohm coil bearing in mind it's fairly tight draw even on the biggest airflow hole.

I now use the triton mini's as my 'out and about' tanks and last time I blew the dust off my mini nautilus I found the draw far too tight for my liking so it seems that my vaping style has changed over time. My main reason for swapping up to the triton minis was based on the top refill, although tank is similar size to a mini nauti it'll hold more and much easier to fill up juice! I did used to struggle sometimes undoing nauti's so its just easier now for me and I particularly like the look of them on my little sbody elfins that I use when i'm out
