Loss of taste and smell from Covid

So i've just had covid, all jabbed up with both shots back in May and June so no real problems apart from loss of smell and taste, which has totally screwed up me for vaping.

Can't taste my juice, no idea when my cotton needs changing in my coil as can't taste it being bad....
At a bit of a loss, anyone had Covid and lost their taste and smell and if so how long we looking before it started coming back.

It's really strange, it's just like someone has flipped a switch and off went my smell and taste

A known unknown I suspect -V- as in so many things individual responses and recovery times vary greatly from person to person and this virus probably hasn't been around long enough for any conclusive research to be undertaken  . . . .

Which I appreciate doesn't help you greatly - presumably you've tried super strong menthol mixes/absinthe/ cough candy/fishermans friends etc or spicy ones which have something like ginger in them?

Id say try what mady said. Up the strength of flavour or try new harder hitting flavours.

First sympathy, I realise it has affected the enjoyment you get from vaping, but am interested in how that has impacted on your vaping habits: more (maybe upping the power or frequency), less (you got you nic hit and there is no flavour to be found) or something else? Get well soon.

Thanks for the replies, I've tried all sorts, burnt oranges and brown sugar, eating apples and orange juices, I've never eaten fruit for years till now...
Tried a few of the old juices I had around which i never vape cos of them being slightly menthol and so on....
But still nothing....

I finally decided to change my cotton today in my coil, and hell it was bad, must have tasted rank if I could have actually tasted it that it.

I am vaping a hell of a lot less as i just can't taste/smell naff all...
I actually went out for the day today without it, something i've not done in years and years....
Apart from the no taste or smell I am fine, no other things but as I said i am fully vaccinated up so that should help.

Now actually testing negative also....
JUST WANT MY TASTE AND SMELL BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd pay good money to get it back........

Senses which I'm sure the vast majority of us take for granted -V- . . . hoping it won't be too long before yours return.

it's about 50 % back, some things i can taste better than other things, Pepsi Max just tastes like fizzy water, my ADV juice is kinda lacking in most of it's flavour....
Smell is about 50 to 60% too...
