~should be easy enough to recoil the BDC's as single micro coils, I've kept all my old ones for this very reason! I can't say I'm overly concerned about the apocalypse, firstly it's probably a couple of years away and a lot can change in 2 years and secondly I'll happily buy outside the EU if needed! Seen a good few tutorials and reviews of the BDC heads done with single microcoils and the vape is supposed to be cracking. Looks straightforward enough aswell, just slightly harder to pull apart than the Kanger BC heads. I'm gonna be giving it a go in a few weeks or so, I'll let you know how it works out if you don't beat me to it only disadvantage I can see is because it is all housed inside, need to use silica instead of cotton. Doesn't bother me though! I have a few Kanger heads I can try with micro and cotton to compare, but I enjoy the aspires enough to carry on with silica. ~there is a video on YouTube with an Irish bloke who builds an ET-S single nano coil using cotton, this is the method I'll be using when I give it a try.

ET-S with a spinner 2 is my current set up and I'm more than happy with it. Saying that I'd quite like a provari with aspire nautilus as my "at home" set up! Mr Smith I love the vape from your set up but I just can't be doing with the metal tip yuck! ~ you don't normally complain about my drip tip

smithyjulesYou know I'm saving up hardware for the apocalypse, right? The Mini Nova is the only clearomiser I am/was actively looking to get rid off. I gave 4 or 5 of them away last year and kept one for nostalgia. For low-power vaping, if you don't mind swooshing and still getting dry hits, they are OK. - - - In the overall scheme of things, I am staying well clear of dual coils and concentrating on finishing my collection of cheap BCCs and RDAs. (cheap BCCs for work/out and about.... rebuilt, mostly....) ~should be easy enough to recoil the BDC's as single micro coils, I've kept all my old ones for this very reason! smithyjulesI would say +1 for your hubby's choice of the Aspire BDC CE5s (the ones linked to). Even with the batteries your using, this was my next step up and a massive difference to my flavour and vapour production. I still use them with egos now and am quite satisfied the 1.8ohm heads are perfect for ego batteries! They can be recoiled although a little more tricky than the protank heads, but the life of the standard coils is pretty good. I get between 10-14 days per coil unless using a very dark juice then I get perhaps 7-8 days. They are simple to use. Like everything they are not without flaws, come up against a few problems but nothing that isn't fixed in a jiffy. If set up right they are leak/gurgle/hassle free and provide a great vape. My only advice is shop around - you will find them cheaper I'll try find you some links. if you ever decide to get them and come up against any issues PM me and I can probably help. Seem to have got the knack for keeping them working perfectly at all times ~I'm using the aspire ET-S!

Aerotank or Aspire BDC with a spinner. This was my first upgrade both have nice flavour. I'm now on Kayfun's and Taifuns on MVP and Vamo with a couple of drippers and Stingray and Nemesis on the way. Does the upgrading ever end I'm running out of space in the cupboard. I still use my Aerotank and spinner for work though. I'm currently running an aspire ET-S BDC with spinner 2 but Mrs smith doesn't like the metal drip tip!

I'm not sure I'd consider myself a chain vaper but depending on the situation I either take a couple of vapes or vape like I'm smoking an analog. The base does cool down fairly quickly once I put it down. Will getting the base hot do any damage?

Depends on how you vape I think, mine can get warm sometimes usually when I am chain vaping! If I realise the atty is getting warm, I usually set it to the side for a while Can you define "chain vaping"?

Hi I'm currently vaping an aspire ET-S with 1.8 ohm coil on a spinner 2 set at 3.8v and I've noticed the base of the ET-S gets quite warm to the touch. Is this pretty normal?
Cheers

Hi James Have a look at the kanger evod starter kit from myepack myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.htmlYou basically get 2 of everything in the kit plus 5 spare coils and USB charger, all for under £30. All you need to add is the juice of your choice!

The cinnamon is awesome! As I take a pull on the atty, I feel sweetness over my tongue and around my mouth and get the cinnamon taste as I inhale and exhale. My wife says the smell when I'm using it is of Atomin Fireball sweets. Love it, though it's a tank cracker so needs a glass tube! ~ Sounds interesting, I love cinnamon but the dekang one I tried was awful!

I've had a spinner II for about a week now, used in conjunction with an aspire ET-S. sadly I've not had the chance to crank it up yet as the juice in using tastes burnt at anything above 3.3v and I'm waiting for some JJ to steep. I can easily get 24 hours from a single charge with no real noticeable drop in vape as the battery goes down. The light on the button changes from white to blue to orange depending on charge which is handy. They are quite hefty and are noticeably larger in diameter over a regular eGo. They are good enough for me to want a couple more!

I hope so too but to be fair I'll happily buy from outside the EU if it comes down to it.
