Hi Guys,
i was hoping for some insights into Variable voltage. If you could only have one VV kit. Which would you have?
i have a lava tube and am happy with it but want to try something new. I saw the provari and that is so expensive? why? it looks kinda like the lavatube?
Should I even bother changing from a lavatube?

IF it works just stick with it,would rec the smoktech vmax tho see here purchased my from cloud 9 vaping and love it in the stainless finish. Build quality is really nice feels very solid only weak point i feel is the button but that might be just me as used to a solid click button.

It will come as no surprise to hear my VV device of choice would be a Provari. The build quality, functionality and the vape you can get from one, is quite simply outstanding. But, I never knock the LT as for the cost, it brilliant value, but side by side the difference is like night and day VB.

I concur that the Provari is an awesome VV mod - albeit somewhat expensive. The LT is a great price to get you 'in the mood' so to speak, and will keep you going while you save up for a Provari.

I've got the LT version 2 which is a step closer to the Provari, yet I have still had a Provari in a shopping basket on several occassions only to back down at the expense. The main problem is it's hard to be convinced that it is worth all the extra cash without actually seeing or trying one myself. If there are any Provaris for sale at Vapefest that will probably be my breaking point.

I've just been away camping for a week and took the provari and the LT with me, with spare batteries for both. I haven't used the LT since I got the provari and yes the vape on the LT wasn't as good as the provari......... it's like, if you know real ales...... the provari has more oomph on the lower scale than the LT, like the ales, the better ones have more bottom end than the cheaper ones.
The LT will do the job and do it very well, but it won't be a provari.
It could (and I admit this totally), be in my mind, but the provari vapes better than the LT, whether it's worth the extra money, only you can decide that.
The provari has circuitry, which means you get the same vape every time, with the LT, it changes depending on the battery power.
If I had to choose one, it would be the provari, if I was cash strapped, the LT would do very well.
I hope this helps.

I'm another that's in the Provari camp, it is quality and yes it is expensive, but I look at it this way, the Provari will last for years and years!
I cant knock the LT tho...........its a good mod and does work well, and is a good step up

My LT is still going strong after 10 months of almost continuous use. I wouldn't be in the provari club even if I did have the money, I like to be different. I'd love to have a custom made unique VV e cig, as long as it was fixable if it went wrong. I'm allowed to dream. Lol.

A lady in California that I know from another place has just ordered the New Gripper VV mod. Ecigwizard have them in now so I am watching with interest as it looks good and chunly, comfortable to use and not so ridiculously expensive that I wouldn't dare take it out of the box!

I'm new to vaping and have only used two PV's an Ego C that gave up after 10 days and my Provari that I received a couple of days ago and doubtless to say my choice is going to be..."Provari". The quality and feel of this thing is fantastic...so good...I can't put it down.

Ok you guys are selling me the idea of a provari and after this thread I will probably get one, but, correct me if im wrong, isnt the vape, the flavour, dependant on the cart used? isnt the provari device just producing the power to the cart? on my LT I had these carts from freedomvape (cant remember which)that made the liquid taste amazing at 4.4v but Kev stopped selling them and got boge which are horribe to be honest and felt very tight and hard on pulling on it. i had to vape at 5.4v to get the same affect and the flavour wasnt as good any more. So is it the "provari" device you guys are raving about, or is it the "carts" that are available for the provari that makes the difference?

Carts is carts, whatever you vape them on. Some are better than others. You're right that the Provari "just" powers the carto, but it does it with precision and does it the same time after time after time, whereas the LT, for example, is not so well regulated

They are all battery holders of varying quality..The vape is dependant on a lot of variables and the power output of the battery holder a.ka PV is one of the primary factors...
A Provari puts out the voltage that you specify very accurately under load. The build quality is also very good but whether it really is worth it depends on personal choice and use. Most people buy a Provari and then it sits at home because it is too expensive to be carried about. But if you work from home or work behind a desk and do much of your vaping at a static point, then probably an ideal device.
An ego-C twist vapes the same as a Provari at voltages of around 4 volts but battery life is much shorter and it is also a perishable device. Means you have to buy a new one once the battery gives out. The version 2 LT that vapourhut stock is also a very good device.
I vary my flavours throughout the day and usually have four flavours at my disposal to vape. So I prefer a ego-c twist and battery life is really not an issue because if I work for 8 -10 hours I would have used each of my batteries for about 1.5 hours a piece and I can charge them at my laptop. There may be someone who prefers one flavour all day and vape much more heavily, needs better battery life and wish for a device that gives them some status. For them a Provari is better suited. It's all down to personal preference. Some people use a Darwin or a tube mod with a Kick module to give them regulated wattage vaping which is reportedly even better.
Any combination that keeps you off analogues is a good setup in my opinion.

Dual 18650 VV mod for me,not as nice looking or expensive as a Provari but hits harder and kicks its ass vape wise.I owned a Provari and used it happily for a year but as soon as i tried my first dual 18650VV mod it was sold.I will add though that the Provari is bomb proof and the build quality is superb so it is well worth the money.Just my opinion of course and it all depends on what you are looking for
